Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Listen To Klaus Schwabs Advisor Doctor Yuval Noah Harari - We Can Hack H...

You know that if they are talking about it publicly, it has already been in existence for at least a couple of decades and they have been quietly honing it to perfection.

This man is the advisor to Klaus Schwab, arguably the most powerful man on earth, so who knows what’s going on in that elite corner of the world.

Anyway, as of today, I am sitting in first position on the family footy tipping ladder.

This weekend, Adoring Husband and I have enjoyed watching the first round of the 2022 NRL comp and after the last two years, it feels more normal with the stadiums full of cheering fans and no masks to be seen.

Let’s hope it remains that way.

I cooked up some tuna and vegetable patties for lunch and BGWLBH prepared a fresh salad. It was delicious!

BGWLBH recommended a new Netflix movie called “The Adam Project” starring Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and a young kid named Walker Scobell (he is brilliant). I watched it between lunch and the football and absolutely loved it. I recommend it.

Adoring Husband recovered incredibly well from his big day of mowing yesterday. So well, that he ventured out to do some more today! Unfortunately, at the end of his morning walk, he kicked his big toe and it could possibly be broken, so by the end of his busy day, his toe was looking quite sore and swollen.

This afternoon, we’d planned on taking the trailer into The Bay to fill it with all the necessary potting mix and other paraphernalia for the veggie pod, but by the time AH had finished all of his gardening jobs, it was too late, so we’ll try again on Monday.

For dinner I invented and prepared a layered chicken casserole. Cabbage, mushrooms, spinach, sautéed carrot and celery and then browned chicken pieces. I heated some home made chicken stock, lactose free cream, garlic salt and sugar in a saucepan and slightly thickened it with tapioca flour before pouring it evenly over the layered food.

I cooked it in the oven for 45 minutes.

It was a success and probably would have been nice served with pasta spirals, but we are watching our health.

Well, it’s almost midnight so you know what that means!

Winner

I won Powerball last night.

$11.30 and I’m not even going to share it!

Adoring Husband spent the entire day mowing.

Considering how he has been working hard on his daily activity and diet, it will be interesting to see how well he bounces back. It used to take three or four days to recover, so we’ll see.

I didn’t even get out of bed until midday and I sat with BGWLBH to eat lunch.

We decided to watch the movie ‘The Accountant” starring Ben Affleck. BGWLBH had seen it a few times before, but I hadn’t seen it before. Except for a few nasty violent parts, I enjoyed it very much.

I kind of took over dinner preparations tonight because AH was obviously the worst for wear after his big day.

We’ve been enjoying the footy. Disappointed that Cronulla lost in the final 5 minutes. Not good for my tips. So far, Broncos are beating Bunnies but it’s a tight game.

I’m feeling quite weary so it might be an early night for me.

On The Road

My date was cancelled this morning.

Despite the BOM showing no rain in the area, Dallarnil received 100mm of rain in one hour and understandably, this deterred The Gypsy from travelling on the roads. So we have postponed our date until next week.

Adoring Husband spent the morning preparing the base to house our big vegetable pod garden.

After an enjoyable breakfast, BGWLBH and I decided to go for a drive. We haven’t spent a lot of quality girlie time together, so it was nice have today.

We stopped first at the Real Estate Agent where I met my potential new landlord. My decision to move the shop to the street front will be determined by whether the Queensland State of Emergency is extended or not.

If ‘they’ extend it for a further 6 months, it means they’ve got something new planned for down the track and I don’t want to be worrying about how it all affects the business, so I’ll definitely close and be done with it.

If they let the SOE expire, then I will strongly consider moving to the street front, but I’m still not certain.

It was a good meeting and they were open to everything I had to say and are happy to wait for my decision.

Initially, BGWLBH and I were heading toward Howard but the weather out that way looked dark and foreboding, so we hung a left and looked toward The Bay.

On the way, BGWLBH decided to check out the Craignish area, so we spent about twenty minutes driving through the streets and choosing the most welcoming parts of the area.

Then we drove to The Esplanade and found a coffee place where BGWLBH bought a coffee for herself and a water for me. It was near a newsagent so we bought the winning powerball tickets for tonight before strolling to the nearby lady’s clothing shop. I selected a couple of nice tops.

We drove further down the Esplanade, past Dayman’s G Store, round to the marina and back again, checking out a few streets to determine if it was worth buying property there.

Short answer… no.

There was no rain at all in The Bay, but halfway home we drove through some light showers.

Before heading home, we checked the mail and visited the butcher.

We played trivia for about an hour before I prepared bangers and mash for dinner.

AH and I were pretty chuffed to sit down for the first NRL game of the 2022 season tonight and so far it’s been a good game!

We were planning on a trip to Bundaberg tomorrow but the Bundy weather forecast is not good, so we’re putting that off until we have some sunny days.

It’s been an enjoyable day.

Now I’m going to find out if I’m a powerball winner.

Wet n Wacky

After a delicious night of sound sleep, I got myself out of bed at 7.30 this morning!

I was ready for my coffee date nice and early and Adoring Husband dropped me off at the park where I was to meet my art girls.

One was already waiting and as I arrived, the heavens opened and the wind was swirling like crazy so we found the driest table under cover and waited for the others as they arrived in dribs and drabs.

It was a windy, wet, stormy morning but we barely noticed it with our laughing, teasing, joking, venting, gossiping and reminiscing. We were all surprised to eventually look at our watches and see that it was 11.30am!

I enjoyed the morning and one of the girls gave me a lift to the post office and then home.

BGWLBH had prepared a fruit platter and the beginnings of a salad platter for our lunch so after I unpacked the FROG box, I made a fruit smoothie with banana, pineapple, ginger and orange. I also made an avocado and tuna dip to add to the platters.

I got to sit down and watch my favourite quiz shows this afternoon before preparing dinner.

Barramundi, lemon risotto and garlic asparagus. It was ok. I’ve made better. AH and BGWLBH ate the leftover rice so I guess it wasn’t too bad.

We played trivia until MAFS started.

Now, suddenly it’s almost midnight!

I have another early start tomorrow so …

Obvious to Some

The frustration has passed.

Everybody has decided on their stance and no amount of evidence or arguing will change their position because mainstream media have successfully induced “Mass formation”

I am lucky to have a platform here where I can share information with like minded individuals and I know that others skim past what they don’t want to read, while others have abandoned my blog altogether.

And that’s ok.

The coming year or two will be interesting as truths float to the surface but will be downplayed and ignored while we watch scripted wars across the globe, see digital IDs become the norm, feel the stock markets crash and have the new law come into play where the government can take your money (anything over $250,000) from your account to save the banks, inflation is going to escalate considerably.

The cost of fuel has already begun to skyrocket, as has the cost of building materials - a shed that cost $15,000 ten years ago now costs $25 - $30.000 and takes at least 6 months to be completed. The cost of housing has increased by around 25% and rental properties are almost impossible to find.

It’s going to get much worse.

A farmer in the ACT has opened up his property for the homeless to camp there indefinitely. People who lost their jobs because of vaccine mandates and as a result lost their homes because they couldn’t pay their mortgages. People from all over Australia.

You have to question why so many thousands of people are willing to sacrifice so much to avoid getting the jab.

Today …

was a strange kind of day.

I fell asleep at 1am and for some strange reason I woke at 3.15am and could not get back to sleep. I couldn’t get comfortable in bed and tossed a turned until 5.30am.

I could have joined Adoring Husband and BGWLBH for their morning walk but I felt too tired. Instead, I got up and made myself a cup of tea and toast, then returned to bed.

Sleep still eluded me so eventually I decided to try a refreshing swim to wake me up. I found BGWLBH sitting by the pool but she was finished so I had the pool to myself … kind of.

AH decided to do some timber cutting so it wasn’t as peaceful as it could have been, but the water was perfect and I swam some laps, floated, meditated and sat in the sun until it was too hot.

BGWLBH appeared with a platter of fruit - finger grapes, green grapes, blueberries, strawberries, dragon fruit, pineapple, plums, watermelon and orange. All of it was sweet and juicy and delicious. What we didn’t eat, we threw into the blender and made a smoothie.

BGWLBH drove me to the post office to collect my mail and I reheated the leftover lasagne for lunch.

I listened to the storm rolling in and fell asleep in my chair as the rain came. After a while I decided to go to bed where I slept for a couple of hours. I didn’t even get up to make dinner.

Lucky we had a heavy lunch so the gang fended for themselves for dinner.

It’s almost 11pm and I feel like I can sleep so that’s the plan.

I have a coffee date with my art girls in the morning.

Suckers?

Do they think we are suckers?

The Red Cross collected over $200 million during the bushfire appeal in December 2019 and issued less than half of it stating that the rest would be set aside for the next disaster/event.

So here we have the next disaster/event!

Where is the money?

Instead, they are launching another appeal, involving all three free to air stations just to make it look bigger than Ben Hur and everyone will have FOMO (fear of missing out)if they don’t participate.

They are a bunch of thieves.

There were other organisations who raised money in 2019. Salvation Army raised $43 million and distributed $22 million. St Vincent de Paul raised almost $23 million and distributed $13 million.

In total, there was still $135 million remaining and with interest over a 2 year period, that adds up to a LOT!

Where is it?

And another thing …

Our illustrious leader Scott Morrison gave $70 million to the Ukraine to support their war efforts and so far has offered nothing to those affected by the floods. No money, no government assistance whatsoever.

Pat Rafter, Chris and Liam Hemsworth are out helping with the clean up in Lismore and they are reporting that there is no military assistance and no government coordination. Just all volunteers from SES and QFES and the general public.

The worst part is that hundreds of SES and QFES volunteers were not allowed to assist because they are not vaccinated.

Unvaccinated volunteers are only allowed to do admin work.

Countries all over the world have dropped ALL of the mandates.

  • UK
  • Ireland
  • Denmark
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Tanzania
  • Nicaragua
  • Dominican Republic
  • Iceland
These countries have dropped most of the mandates.

  • Mexico
  • El Salvador
  • South Africa
  • Slovenia
  • South Africa
It’s time we did the same.

Anyway …

Today …

Adoring Husband was feeling fit and strong after his walk this morning and had big plans with a big list for The Bay but the ‘fit and strong’ bit faded quickly and after about 5 minutes, he returned in the car looking a bit the worse for wear.

BGWLBH very generously offered to drive him into The Bay and because my coffee date with the girls was canned, I was able to accompany them.

I got to visit Tinkerbells first where I added to my collection of crystal and semi precious gemstone jewellery. I bought a jade pendant and ring and a gorgeous citrine pendant.

We drove on to Go Natural to do some food and drink shopping.

Universal was our next stop where AH signed the contract for our new carport, which we hope to have complete by (bloody) July. This means that converting the double garage into an art studio for me is also on hold for a while.

We had a Bunnings stop.

Stocklands for groceries, lotto tickets and 3 boost juices.

Pillow Talk for my click and collect order of tea towels, oven mitts and beach towels.

Elstons Financial Advisors to drop off some signed paperwork and sign some other paperwork.

Craignish for some fresh seafood.

BH Post Office to pick up the mail.

Home at 3pm.

It took ages to unpack everything and I sat down for half an hour before preparing a super early dinner. Chicken and salad for AH and BGWLBH. Fresh prawns and salad for me.

We played trivia for two hours before MAFS pulled us away.

Now it’s after midnight!

Gawd, how did that happen?

What a Show!

We’ve just experienced rolling thunder storms for approximately the last six hours.

They were mostly amazing with loud thunder, spectacular light shows and plenty of rain. Thankfully, not much wind and no hail.

I’m surprised to say that I quite enjoyed the experience. I can’t say the same for Adoring Husband and BGWLBH. I think they were both feeling unsettled.

There is still thunder off in the distance, but no further action happening on the BOM.

I started the day late and with a berry smoothy. Strawberries, raspberries, dragon fruit, banana and coconut water.

I sat down in the lounge room and watched “A Star is Born” with AH.

Afterwards, we drove to the shop to water the plants and we grabbed some groceries and rushed home before the storm hit.

I made a big lasagne for dinner which I served with a simple salad of lettuce, tomato and cucumber drenched in a vinaigrette dressing.

It was delicious but filling. AH went for seconds (again) I think he might need worming 🤣

We watched MAFS and now I’m in bed.

It’s 10.30pm and I’d like to fall asleep by 11pm. I’m drinking ‘sleepy tea’ so I might be lucky.
