I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!

Clearing Clutter
I got a little bit motivated today and cleaned out my walk-in wardrobe.
Adoring Husband took what remained of his ‘stuff’ out of the room which left space for me to store my excess ‘stuff’.
I allotted two hours for todays effort and if I still felt motivated after 2 hours, I could continue, otherwise I gave myself permission to stop.
You won’t be surprised to know that I stopped haha.
I tossed two shopping bags of rubbish and after I finished the wardrobe, I started on the bedside drawers.
My bedroom currently looks like a lazy teenager lives in it, so there is still much to do.
Small steps.
Earlier this morning, BGWLBH and I drove out to Raintree Acres to pick up our 18 eggs that have been waiting to be collected for three days.
BGWLBH spent a good portion of the day doing art, but I didn’t take photos yet.
I caught up on some MasterChef episodes that I missed earlier in the week.
I enjoyed a brief nap on the couch and had a quick play with Harley - the weather being cool, wet and windy was not conducive to play so I appeased him with a short stint around the pool.
Adoring Husband cooked our usual spicy chicken wings for dinner and we watched the football - AH slept through most of it.
There is currently a lovely cool breeze coming through my bedroom window so I think I shall slide down under the covers and drift off to sleep.
Nite all.

Witchiness
This is a powerful lesson…
A high school class is learning about the Salem Witch Trials. Their teacher told them they were going to play a game.
"I'm going to come around and whisper to each of you whether you're a witch or a regular person. Your goal is to build the largest group possible that does NOT have a witch in it. At the end, any group found to include a witch gets a failing grade."
The teens dove into grilling each other. One fairly large group formed, but most of the students broke into small, exclusive groups, turning away anyone they thought gave off even a hint of guilt.
"Okay," the teacher said. "You've got your groups. Time to find out which ones fail. All witches, please raise your hands."
No one raised a hand.
The kids were confused and told the teacher he'd messed up the game. "Did I?” He asked.
“Was anyone in Salem an actual witch? Or did everyone just believe what they'd been told?"
And that is how you show kids how easy it is to divide a Community.
Shunning, scapegoating, placing blame and dividing will each destroy far more than they will protect.
Don’t allow fear to cloud your decisions. Use your own discernment. Trust your heart…and your gut.
The best teachers will show you where to look, but they won’t tell you what to see.

- Made toasted sandwiches for everyone’s lunch
- Mixed up and batched Harley’s food packs for the week and put them in the freezer
- Baked banana bread
- Napped for an hour
- Slow baked some marinated pork ribs and served them with sweet potato chips and home made coleslaw
- Played trivia
- Watched the football
Here is some of BGWLBH’s latest offerings …
I took Harley for a walk yesterday. His first walk in months and what a disaster! It was VERY windy and I hadn’t tied back my hair so I couldn’t see where I was going or what Harley was doing most of the time.
He wanted to chase every leaf that was blowing on the road and he is STRONG!
It was easy to get him to stop and sit but as soon as we started walking again, he was a bit manic. The harness did not help at all so I’m going to have to use the special leash (Cesar Milan brand) that I bought ‘just in case’ when I first got Harley.
It’s my own fault for leaving it so long and now I’m going to have to make a concerted effort to train him properly on the leash.
BGWLBH and I drove into The Bay yesterday. She had a birthday voucher from The Boat Club so we decided on morning tea there.
When we put our keno tickets on, there was a promotion and for every $10 you spent, you got a ticket to zip open. There was either a prize inside or a section to complete your details and go into a draw for further prizes.
BGWLBH opened all her tickets (4) and won nothing. I opened my two tickets and won a Phillips air fryer (the top prize on the table) and a phone wallet! The air fryer is valued at over $400!
A fruitful morning.
We might get some rain tonight. At least the weather has warmed up significantly. It’s gone from 6°C minimum to 12°C minimum. Much easier to get out of bed in the mornings.
Time for me to sleep now.
Nite all.

Ideas Girl
I have some ideas for my next art projects.
One is an octopus - it may seem like I have done a lot of octopus art, but I’ve really only done four (and one of those was a gift) …
The other one is a seahorse underwater.
Some of the other art that I might attempt to sell at the art expo in June …
We’ll see how I feel on the day.
BGWLBH has LOTS of art to sell so it should be an interesting day to test our egos. I see the day as a way of catching up with lots of locals who I haven’t seen for a year or more so it doesn’t matter to me whether I sell anything but I hope that people buy BGWLBH’s beautiful art. I hope others love it as much as I do.
Meanwhile, we will continue to make art until 5th June!
Apart from it being a VERY cold start to the day (6°C) nothing out of the ordinary happened today.
I cooked a chicken and pineapple casserole for dinner and served it with lightly fried carrots sticks, beans and snow peas.
Time to sleep now.
Nite all.

Forgiven
I think Harley has forgiven me for going out today.
I don’t think he’s forgiven me for cutting short both plays though.
The minimum temperature has gradually worked its way down to 8°C which means that the pool water has a real chill in it, but that doesn’t deter Harley from diving in for stray balls!
The cooler weather means that it takes longer for him to dry so he can’t come into the house and has to stay outside but after a while he gets bored and finds mischief, like digging holes or chewing plants.
This afternoon we played for 20 minutes and he hadn’t jumped in the pool so I thought I would take advantage of his ‘still dry state’ and offer him his dinner a bit early. I hoped he would accept my offer and, because he’d be dry, he could come inside the house afterwards.
As soon as I said “Would you like some dinner?” he immediately jumped into the pool and stood on the pool step refusing to move.
So I left him there while I organised his dinner and by the time I filled his bowl, he was at the pool gate ready to be left out.
It took 90 minutes for him to dry. I haven’t looked for outdoor damage yet, because it was dark when I let him in the house. I’ll survey the yard in the morning.
We had king salmon sautéed in butter, accompanied by pineapple salsa and home made chips done in the air fryer for dinner.
I must say, after our day in The Bay, I’m feeling very weary so I think I shall sign off and get some sleep.
Nite all.

Jelly Fishing
I spent almost an hour cleaning the stove top, back splash, surrounding cupboards, the range hood, the knife block, utensil holder, paper towel holder and other bits and pieces and then shining up the kitchen sink.
Then, as my reward, I did some more art. I added some more to the wave …
When I needed a break from the wave, I decided to do a fluid art jellyfish …
I’ve already had to remove a sandfly and two small moths from the wet paint. Ugh.
Harley and I had some play time between football games.
BGWLBH was convinced that she could do better in the footy tipping than me, so I let her choose my tips this week.
Big mistake.
She doesn’t even follow football.
If I had chosen my own tips, I’d have got 6 correct out of 8, but instead, I got 3 out of 8, thanks to BGWLBH.
Ya live and learn right?
I made salmon mornay for dinner because the big king salmon steaks that I was going to cook were still frozen solid! Annoying.
I think I’m ready to sleep now.
Nite all.
