Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Down and Back

Today, Adoring Husband was driven down to Brisbane for his first face to face post surgery appointment with his professor.

His professor is on holidays so he saw a different doctor, but he liked this doc so it was ok.

On the way home he stopped at Gluten Free 4 U in Caloundra and bought some dim sims for me, 2 x mini tiramisus and 2 x blueberry muffins.

The tiramisu was bloody beautiful and BGWLBH verified that the muffin was soft and fluffy and delicious.

Lucky we don’t live down there! We’d be there on a weekly basis stocking up on all their deliciousness!

BGWLBH and I spent the day in the bay and came home with lots of Harley goodies.

Thankfully, there were lots of leftovers from AH’s dinner last night so all I had to do was make a fresh salad to serve with the cold chicken.

I cleaned the loos.

We played trivia.

It’s already after midnight and I’m in need of sleep!

Nite all.
