Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

The Week So Far

I have been busy and out of the house every day since Sunday.

I am too old to be doing this.

Tomorrow, I have a Christmas lunch with my art girls.

Sunday, we tried to win a Christmas ham without success.

Monday was fruit and veg shopping, lotto, nanas pantry and more.

Tuesday was to get the results of Adoring Husband’s scans, ultrasound and lung tests - all were perfect. Lungs, bladder and prostate all great. Healthy as an ox.

Today was BGWLBH’s nail appointment and we did groceries, the butcher, Big W, Choice and fresh juice.

Little angelic me …

Tomorrow is lunch at Toogoom.

I’m pretty sure that Friday is a rest day for me and I may just spend it in bed!

I had a ten minute Power Nap this afternoon and it did me the world of good. I was able to cook dinner - snags with boiled potatoes in their jackets, coleslaw and garden salad.

Then, at 5.30pm, I came to bed.

It’s almost 9.30pm and I’m ready to sleep.

Nite all.
