Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

I Got Motivated

A visit with The Motivator today that lasted for 4.5 hours.

We talked about everything that you can possibly imagine, from health to natural therapies to health influencers to health retreats to family to travel to people and friendships to interior design to creating our own oasis at home to divine energy to ageing to memories and the list goes on.

It was a good visit and she gave me some CDS (chlorine dioxide solution) in water which, surprisingly, has made a marked improvement to my internal health. It was almost instant and I feel lighter, energised and pain free!

Her store of natural therapies almost rivalled mine and we had a great time discussing the pros and cons of each and every one of them.

It has been about a year since we had any one on one time together and I thoroughly enjoyed today. We have promised to keep our connection going in the near future.

I arrived home in time to watch the footy, take spaghetti bol sauce out of the freezer for “spaghetti Sunday”, play trivia and then remember that the French Open tennis started tonight!

Now I need to sleep because I have to be up at 5am for AH and I to drive into the Bay and transport The Gypsy to hospital for her hip surgery. It’s going to be cold and bloody early!

Nite all.
