Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Nil Productivity

I didn’t do ANY of the things that I hoped.

I slept and woke on and off all night watching snippets of the golf, so my energy levels were pretty low all day.

Harley got his morning play.

My breakfast was a dip of avocado, tuna, lemon juice, spring onions, salt and pepper which I dipped my beetroot crackers into. Adoring Husband bought me a latte from the shops.

I sat down and watched a Netflix movie called “The Incredible Jessica James” starring Jessica Williams and Chris O’Dowd which I enjoyed very much. I followed that up with an old movie that I’d seen a few times before “The Perfect Date”.

Adoring Husband and I watched two games of footy and “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves”. I adore Kevin Costner.

It’s ’spaghetti Sunday’ but I didn’t have any bolognese sauce in the freezer so I had to move my butt into the kitchen and cook everything instead of just reheating. I made enough for two more meals so I’m good for next week.

Harley got an afternoon play between rain showers.

BGWLBH did the ironing, including about ten items of mine.

That’s it for my Sunday.

Nite all.
