Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Easy Sunday

How to train your subconscious to heal your body. (More mind blowing information)

A very lazy Sunday.

I woke up at 7.20am but dozed off and the next time I opened my eyes it was 8.45am!

I invited Harley to join me on the bed for 10 minutes of morning cuddles - my favourite way to start the day - and when I walked into the kitchen, there was a fresh hot cup of shop bought coffee waiting for me! Well done Adoring Husband! Excellent timing!

Harley and I spent about an hour playing in the pool area.

For brunch, I decided to cook myself Canadian pancakes - with bacon, banana and maple syrup. It was bloody delicious but my eyes were too big for my belly and I couldn’t finish all that I cooked.

After watching some pre-grand final rubbish on TV, AH began to annoy me so I retreated to my bedroom for some peace. I opened my blinds and windows to let in some light and fresh air and watched some YouTube videos on health, including a good one on urine therapy. Very interesting.

I didn’t have any Spaghetti Bolognese sauce in the freezer, so I had no choice but to haul my butt into the kitchen to make some up. It was a quick version, but still all made from scratch - no jar crap - and it was quite yummy.

We made ourselves comfortable for the NRL Grand Final between Roosters and Knights.

In my heart, I wanted Newcastle Knights to win, BUT I tipped Roosters. I was one game away from tying with my sister to jointly win the footy tipping comp and I knew she would tip Knights, so my only chance was to tip Roosters and hope they could pull it off.

Roosters won 19-18! Hehehe.

It was a very good grand final.

Now it’s almost 10pm and I’m watching the final round of Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (golf) from my bed. Doubt I’ll see it to the end. I feel that sleep is my friend tonight.

Nite all.
