Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

I Like Quiet Days

Tuesday was a much calmer and more agreeable day than Monday.

Adoring Husband was suffering from a case of vertigo so I had to ride my trike to meditation. It was a great class, as was hoop qi gong. AH quickly recovered from his vertigo.

I had a two hour session with The Gypsy before riding home.

I was starving hungry so I stuffed my face full of leftover crumbed snapper and sat with AH to watch our quiz shows before playing with Harley.

I made curry puffs for dinner and accompanied them with green beans, snow peas, asparagus, pine nuts, goats cheese and balsamic fig dressing. My housemates both went back for seconds!

Today was a lazy, relaxing day, the majority of which I spent in bed watching tv and colouring in.

I watched a movie called “Woman of the Hour” with Anna Kendrick. It was a bit dark and intense but worth watching.

AH bought Indian food home for dinner, but BGWLBH doesn’t eat this particular Indian, so he still prepared lamb chops and baked vegetables for her. He also had a plate of vegetables.

We played trivia before watching 1% Club.

Now I lay me down to sleep.

Nite all.
