Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Double Dose

It was end of year final meditation today.

Instead of qi gong hooping, we had a double meditation class.

It was perfect and just what I needed to release some stuff that was swirling around in my head.

We sat in four meditations, lots of discussions about ‘letting go’ and ‘releasing’ and a round of Drishti.

Drishti is looking into each other’s souls and sending light and love. It can be quite emotional and sometimes overwhelming, especially when you’re working hard on yourself. We either look into each others eyes or if not comfortable with that, look into the third eye.

The Gypsy and I only had an hour to chat because she had a massage client so I was home before midday.

Adoring Husband and I had a sausage sizzle for lunch and afterwards he napped in his recliner, while enjoyed a ten minute power nap.

I prepared San Choy Bau for dinner, which was nice and easy.

We played trivia.

I watched Task Master and Love Island.

Now it’s sleep time.

Nite all.
