Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Weekend in Bed

No, I’m not sick.

I’ve been using my Schumann Wave Signal Generator, and after 48 hours of feeling less than good (the cleansing process causes minor side effects) my body has done some purging this afternoon and I’m feeling much improved - lighter in my mood, clearer in my head, looser in my joints and a small but noticeable improvement in my energy level.

To fill my time during the cleansing, I read my Medical Medium books and made a list of all the foods that rejuvenate our bodies - according to the medical conditions that apply to us - so that I can support the cleansing process in a positive way.

I’m thinking about joining BCITW in November 2027 and flying to Iceland for an all female 8 day trip gentle hiking, whale watching and doing the usual sights. I’m seesawing with my decision right now and leaning towards the negative, but I still have 3 weeks to decide.

Enjoying a full round of football this weekend and doing ok in the tipping. Adoring Husband has done a rapid slide backwards and is longer leading the comp - however - there is a long way to go this season.

I finally remembered to take photos of my vegetable garden!

This is the basket growing potatoes. All of them have sprouted and I’ve added another layer of sugar cane mulch and soil for them to break through again.

The beans …

The cucumbers …

The tomatoes …

The snow peas …

The dill and coriander …

They are loving the rain.

I’ve been eating fresh leaves of coriander twice a day. I love coriander.

Now I’m off to cook dinner. A layered mince casserole - layer of potato, then mince, then cream cheese, then tomato slices, then mince, then zucchini slices, then sliced mushrooms, then mince, then melted cheese on top. I’ve made it up so it could be a big fat failure yet. I love having Guinea pigs to experiment on haha.

Nite all.
