Windy as it was, the day was pretty great …
I had to wear a vest over my t-shirt to beat the cooling wind, while I went out twice on my trike (Ruth).
I wanted some Sarsaparilla, and Adoring Husband was in town having the car serviced, so I rode to the local supermarket.
With the strength of today’s wind, I would never have attempted the ride on my old trike because my legs just aren’t strong enough anymore. Ruth and her electric motor makes riding against the wind easy breezy - pardon the pun.
So I ordered coffee for both BGWLBH, I strolled through the supermarket and picked up a couple of things, stood in the queue of 2 people at the post office to check my PO Box (I’d left my keys at home) and 10 minutes later, my coffees arrived and the queue was still 2 people long with no sign of reducing, so I left.
Halfway home, I realised that I’d forgotten the Sarsaparilla!
I took the coffees home, grabbed my PO Box keys and rode back for the sars.
Now there were NINE people in the PO queue! Luckily I had my key AND luckily I had no parcels to collect!
I remembered the Sarsaparilla this time and rode home along the river path.
Earlier in the day, I made ten pairs of earrings, which now makes 25 pairs to sell at the art and craft expo at the end of this month. I also started to make another extra large bracelet.
Harley got to play twice and I tried to teach him to jump into the basket of the trike. I think that will be a process haha. He doesn’t remember from his puppy time, riding in the trike, and he doesn’t quite understand what I’m asking of him.
We’ll get there eventually.
I made prawn laksa for my dinner, BGWLBH thawed out some chicken soup from the freezer and AH made his usual chicken wings.
We watched the first game of footy together and moved to our respective bedrooms for the second game. I’m doing very well in the footy tipping so far.
I’m hoping to get up super early to attend the Howard markets in the morning so it’s time to sleep.
Nite all.
