Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

A Free Day

Meditation was cancelled this morning so I got to sleep in.

At 9am, I took Harley out to play and tended the garden before making myself some breakfast and a cup of soursop tea.

Adoring Husband, after doing some quick outdoor repairs, joined me in the lounge room and we watched the new version of the movie “Twisters”. It was better than I expected.

We started to watch “Gray Man” with Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Billy Bob Thornton. It was interrupted by a call from our financial advisor so we’ll watch the second half later in the week.

I took some Butter Chicken out of the freezer for dinner so heated that and boiled some rice. Nice and easy.

We played trivia for an hour and all in bed by 7.30pm.

There’s been some bad activity in town in the last couple of days.

Four businesses were broken into, robbed and damaged.

Police were in town today searching for two dangerous men, so the town is feeling a bit fearful tonight with lots of social media conversations trying to get to the bottom of it.

We are all being extra careful, checking that doors are locked and windows are closed.

I’m off for an early night so that I can enjoy a day in the bay tomorrow.

Nite all.
