Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Footy’s Back!

Chase Hughes - how he controlled his brain disease.

Amazing.

Spent the day in the Bay.

Apart from the usual gadding about, I let Adoring Husband shout me a leg and foot massage (he doesn’t know til he reads this haha), I got an extra ticket in the $100million Powerball which was wasted money because I won nothing.

BGWLBH worked this afternoon so for the last hour, I popped into the RSL, checked and replayed my old keno tickets and sat in their very comfy lounge chairs watching the keno draws. I could easily have fallen asleep if it wasn’t for some old bloke sitting in the bistro area telling caravan stories very loudly and with very colourful language.

Tonight’s dinner was leftover roast chicken, leftover egg and bacon pie and a bunch of salads.

AH and I watched the first rugby league World Cup game between Australia and NZ. What a great game with the Aussies winning by two points. The lead seesawed throughout.

I can’t believe it’s almost 11pm already. AH and I are heading out to Howard butcher tomorrow morning so I’d best get some sleep.

Nite all.
