Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Greatness!

Crazy day!

Aggie and Maid Marian joined me for morning coffee and were there until almost 11am. We were only interrupted by pesky customers twice so it was nice to be part of the conversations.

After they left, I started wrapping Christmas gifts to send in the mail, but didn’t get very far because quite a few ‘non-paying’ customers came through the door. They still needed my attention.

Sales were very low until 1pm when I had two separate customers spend a fortune and bolstered my sales considerably - making it a GREAT sales day!

Journaling class was very unproductive because there was too much news to catch up on.

We set up for meditation before we left and then stopped for groceries on the way home.

Dinner was giant stuffed mushrooms with a side of chicken thigh. I stuffed the mushrooms with garlic, onion, capsicum, grated sweet potato, chopped bacon, grated lactose free cheese and white pepper. I put two slices of cheese on top and cooked them in a hot oven for 15 minutes, then grilled them for 10 minutes.

They were delicious!

It is now way after midnight and I need to sleep! I have an early start tomorrow and I haven’t even finished working for the day!

Nite all.
