Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Focused Friday

There is nothing to report other than my day of editing.

Not a chore.

Thoroughly enjoying the process. There has been multiple editing done to this book since I last read it, so it’s like reading a brand new book!

Even Stephen King has multiple edits done on his books.

I did some rebounding this morning and of course I’ve played with Harley twice.

I had chicken broth for dinner, in which I had poached 3 chicken wings. Harley and I shared the wings.

I’ve had the tennis on TV in the background for most of the day and then T20 cricket. Hurricanes thrashed the Strikers.

Adoring Husband ducked into The Bay early this morning and was home before 10am.

I had two parcels arrive. One was my Intrinsic calendar which is now hanging in my bedroom and the other was 2 packets of BIC orange original fine point pens. I haven’t been able to purchase them in any shops in the Bay - even Office Works don’t stock them and they are my favourite pens!

It’s after 11pm. Time to sleep.

Nite all.
