Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

First or Last?

So … do you consider Sunday to be the first day of the week or the last day of the week?  I choose Sunday to be my last day of the week.

I choose Monday as my first day of the week.

This next bit of information was new and surprising for me!

I am confused …

Isn’t everybody like this … ?

17 ADHD SYMPTOMS NOBODY TALKS ABOUT

1. Feeling guilty while relaxing.

2. Waiting all day for one appointment.

3. Rehearsing conversations repeatedly.

4. Avoiding tasks that take two minutes.

5. Feeling physically stuck before starting.

6. Losing momentum after interruptions.

7. Hyperfixating on people.

8. Forgetting to reply to people you like.

9. Needing background noise to focus.

10. Feeling overwhelmed by too many choices.

11. Constantly changing interests.

12. Getting emotionally attached to hobbies.

13. Forgetting basic self-care tasks.

14. Mental paralysis from simple decisions.

15. Feeling exhausted after concentrating.

16. Knowing exactly what to do but not doing it.

17. Feeling misunderstood by people around you.

This is my question … How do other people live, manage relationships, complete tasks, enjoy being creative, make decisions etc.?

Gawd 😳 am I ADHD?

BGWLBH and I drove into The Bay this morning but it was a short day and we were home before 1.30pm.

Just in time to make lunch and plant my butt to watch the football.

So far, only my beloved Broncos have ruined my perfect round in the footy tipping comp.

Tonight is the men’s final of the French Open Tennis. I will be supporting the German, Alexander Sverev.

The third round of the USPGA golf was suspended early yesterday due to the weather, so they will be attempting to squeeze a LOT of players’ third round in before starting the fourth and final round today.

I think there will be a lot of tired golfers at the end of the day!

I will probably fall asleep before either the tennis or the golf is finished.

I’m off to bed right now.

Nite all.
