Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Monday Sport

It doesn’t feel like Monday … because it was a long weekend in NSW, they saved one of the NRL football matches for today.

Now my brain just thinks it’s Sunday.

I will be confused all week!

I was awake for most of Sunday night watching the Men’s French Open Tennis final and the USPGA Memorial Tournament.

It was very pleasing for me that Alexander Sverev finally won a Grand Slam. He deserved the win.

Poston won the golf in a playoff, which was fitting because he led for almost the entire four rounds.

I was annoyed that Parramatta lost today’s NRL game by two points. I tipped them to win.

My day was very quiet.

After a late start and morning Harley play, I had last nights leftover spaghetti bolognese for brunch and watched a sad but uplifting movie on Netflix starring Hillary Swank called “Ordinary Angels”.

My big arse trike seat arrived in the mail and Adoring Husband attached it to the trike. I did NOT go riding today but I’ll make up for it tomorrow.

Tonight’s dinner was taken from the freezer. Butter chicken and rice with toasted pita bread.

Farmer Wants a Wife started tonight, so that was my highlight. Cute farmers.

It’s already 11pm so I think it’s time to catch up on some sleep.

Nite all.
