Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Oldie But a Goodie

I am watching the original "Oceans 11" on the Classic channel.

Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Angie Dickenson, Shirley Maclaine among many others.

What a great cast.

I've had another brain draining day.

Adding more to my book, more designing of the journal and affirmation cards, more manifesting lessons, journaling, note taking, meditation and phone calls.

I phoned the groom of the wedding that I'll be photographing on Sunday to discuss further details of the wedding and what he and his bride will be expecting.

There's a story!

Which I won't tell here.

Due to water cutoffs, our local butcher was closed today, so my plans for dinner had to change. I took leftover curried mince out of the freezer and made the curried mince pastries served with boiled and chopped potatoes in their jackets, honey carrots/zucchini and tzatziki.

Even I filled my belly up on that. It was delicious.

We played trivia for 45 mins and Adoring Husband and I watched Andy Lee's 100 before heading off to bed.

Tomorrow will be another day in The Bay with a long list of food and groceries.

Which means it's time for me to sleep.

Nite all.
