Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Two Halves

It was a day of two halves.

Meditation saw two newbies in the mix, both of whom loved the class, commented about how much they got out of it and both plan on returning next week.

This week we discussed stepping away from the roles we play in life and stepping into “loving ourselves”.

Afterwards some of the girls remained in the room for a catch up, while The Gypsy and I sat in my ‘chat’ area and talked a mile a minute trying to share the last two weeks of our lives in the space of an hour.

She left just after 10am and for the next 45 minutes it was rush hour in the shop! Busy Busy Busy!

When it got quiet I put my ‘back in 5 minutes’ sign on the door and went for a walk to check the mail. Trouble was, I stopped to chat with a couple of people for more than 5 minutes each, so I was away from the shop for 20 minutes!

I paid an unexpected invoice, phoned the real estate agent re the house we wanted to look at, checked the bank account, made my lunch and no more customers came in until 1pm.

That’s when the second half of this day occurred and it was flat out for the next hour!

I had a great day of sales.

Adoring Husband is still having trouble with his back so we had to drive to Craignish so that I could pick up the FROG box of goodies.

I made another zucchini slice for dinner.

Now I’m feeling very weary.

Nite all.
