Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Distraction Day

I lay in bed this morning thinking “Something is happening today … but what?”

I racked my brain but couldn’t, for the life of me, remember what it was.

So I pushed it from my brain and went to work.

There were a few sales in the morning up until 10.30am. Sales that did not reach my happy minimum and then came to an abrupt halt.

Adoring Husband had made comment about my almost 14,000 emails so I decided to start clearing them and got through almost 4000 (yes - four THOUSAND) before I was distracted.

I began to clear that disaster of a desk but was immediately distracted just clearing the first item.

I found some excess stock of jewellery in a draw so I decided to put it on display … but where?

The glass cabinets needed rearranging so I cleared space, dusted the shelves and polished the silver jewellery making room for the stock that I found and leaving room for the crazy amount of jewellery arriving next week.

We will need to assemble the two glass cabinets that have been stored in the bathroom because there is so much jewellery on it’s way … you know … ‘she who has limited self control’ requires more display area.

Just after midday, in walks my sales rep “LL” … THAT’s what I’d forgotten was happening today!

We sat in the back room going through the stock and I gave her a delayed order to be processed in November. Our meeting lasted about 30 minutes. I showed impressive self control.

I spent ten minutes in the kitchen scrubbing the paint off my sink and then washing the dishes.

What a lovely distraction happened next!

Rebel Mardi returned to make up for yesterday’s missed opportunity. We got to spend a good 45 minutes together catching up on so much news. I was truly delighted to have her all to myself for that time and she always takes me on a roller coaster of emotions.

Love ya Mardi 😘

As she departed, a customer walked in just before my closing time of 2pm. She wandered around for 15 minutes before deciding on her purchase and in the meantime her husband joined us. He and AH got chatting and it was 2.20pm when they left, but as they walked out, another young lady walked in!

She came in to purchase three “secret Santa” gifts and made her selections quite quickly.

Two pieces of jewellery that I had just moved to a new spot that day - one piece had been in the shop for four years and another for three! Just goes to show the value of rearranging stock!

So in the thirty minutes after I would normally be closed, I reached almost double my happy minimum in takings for the day.

I was very happy about that.

Since our new oven hasn’t been installed yet, it was up to me to cook our chicken wings for dinner. The electrician will be here next Thursday.

Here it is at 8pm and I’m ready for bed.

The football season is over so I can enjoy some early to bed Friday nights.

Tomorrow, I’m hoping for a fruitful Saturday morning followed by a swim in the pool.

Sorry, not sorry …

Nite all.

Reminiscing

One of the expert witnesses in the Supreme Court case that I’ve been live streaming stated yesterday that if you are fully vaccinated you are 13 times ‘more likely’ to catch and spread the virus.

When asked if vaccines were dangerous to pregnant women or women hoping to fall pregnant, she replied “yes”.

When asked “is it true that the vaccines have never been studied for effectiveness and safety?” she replied “Yes, they have never been fully studied.”

Just putting it out there 😋

I had a great day today!

Sales were crazy for the first half of the day which added to the nice ‘kitty’ that I’d set aside for this afternoons face time appointment with a jewellery supplier.

After lunch, I did some more work to the art that I started yesterday …

It’s going to be fun, easy and therapeutic in the next class.

I got distracted reading my blog from the very beginning when I was in New Zealand for Chicklet’s birth. It was a very emotional read and much more interesting back then, compared to some of the drivel that you’ve endured in recent years!

I’m amazed that I’ve kept this going for ten and a half years!

At 1.30pm Adoring Husband arrived.

At 1.50pm the supplier phoned me to set up for our appointment.

At 2pm my lovely friend Rebel Mardi unexpectedly walked through the door and Adoring Husband got to spend quality time with her because I was committed to my appointment 😩 It was so frustrating to be so close and yet so far and it was difficult to focus on the job at hand because I wanted it to be with Mardi 😢

Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be and I spent a veritable fortune on some prize jewellery pieces that should arrive by Tuesday next week. Some that I selected for my own personal collection 😬

It was well after 3pm when my call was finally terminated and we could pack up and go home. The supplier was supposed to call back 30 minutes later and also email me the invoices but I waited for over an hour before she finally came through. That was a bit annoying.

I was a bit shocked by how much I’d spent 😳 but she designs lovely pieces and I’m sure they will move well leading up to Christmas.

Tonight’s dinner was barramundi and salad.

I’m very tired now.

Nite all.

Another Hump Day

A great morning of meditation with lots of honest discussion and interesting questions.

Afterwards, The Gypsy stayed for an hour and we chatted behind my screen, while four of the ladies sat in the meditation room catching up. I joined them for their final twenty minutes after TG left.

It was a very quiet day for sales and I didn’t get close to my happy minimum.

I watched some of day 5 of the Supreme Court case regarding mandated vaccinations.

I did some art! In the next class, we will be embellishing some of the work that we did in the last class and I decided to practice it today on an old canvas. We’ll be painting birch trees over a paint pour. I’ll take a photo tomorrow and share it here.

I did NOT clear my desk 😳

Again.

I paid some invoices and have all my bills paid up to date.

I found some old stock and put it on display and thought about ordering more but found some self control.

Two lucky ‘finds’!

My precious little Hazie is 6 months old today …

I made my version of spring rolls for dinner tonight using turkey mince, carrot and zucchini wrapped in rice paper rolls and fried in coconut oil. They were a hit with Adoring Husband.

I can’t believe it’s already past 11pm.

I’m so tired.

Nite all.

A Little Visit

What a fabulous surprise it was this morning to see Rebel Mardi and The Lifesaver walk into the shop!

I knew they were coming to town today and I hoped that they would be here early enough for RM to attend our coffee morning but I didn’t think that would really happen.

Unfortunately, between the five other ladies in attendance and those pesky customers, I didn’t get much conversation with my friend but I have to say that the energy in the room was reminiscent of the good old days before our girls all started dispersing throughout the state.

It was a good energy.

There were also times when the seven of us sounded like hens cackling in the henhouse!

Now that the school holidays are over, I was expecting a quieter day in the shop, so just passing my minimum happy number was no surprise.

I received a box of stock which I processed quickly and I received a phone call from a rep who was in The Bay and who offered to deliver the stock that I’d ordered at the end of last week. She brought cases full of jewellery which I sorted through and from which I ordered a ridiculous number of items.

The day passed so quickly and journaling was canceled so Adoring Husband and I vacuumed the shop and set up for tomorrow’s meditation.

When I arrived home I hung out some washing, folded some washing, got changed, made myself a pot of tea and put my feet up to watch Tipping Point.

I’m not even going to tell you my sad tale of dinner disappointment.

It’s now after midnight! I need to be up early for meditation so I’m signing off!

Nite all.

A Little Fact

I was unaware, until recently, that in 1955 the first polio vaccine actually infected over 40,000 children WITH polio.

The vaccine was withdrawn and it took another five years to develop a safe and effective polio vaccine.

Did you know that?

Just putting it out there.

I had a very pleasant Monday.

It was both relaxing and productive.

I had my first swim in the pool for this season and it was amazing.

It was super windy but the water was perfect. I swam ten laps which I thought was enough for my first time … my arm muscles might complain about that tomorrow! I did some stretching and dancing in the water and of course my favourite thing ... l floating in the sunshine ☀️

I admired the outline of my turtle on the wall which is still waiting to be painted 😳

Of course I did lots more covid/vac research and dropped a few people from my Facebook friends list - the angry ones who have been brainwashed and hate people like me for looking past mainstream media and discovering truths.

Even though they have nothing to support their beliefs except the mainstream narrative, they make derogatory posts insulting the people who think differently to them and I am one of those people. If they want to insult me, I don’t need them on my newsfeed or in my life.

I try to keep FB clear of negativity. I’m not always successful but I continue to try.

Adoring Husband and I drove to the shop to clear the art room ready for coffee morning tomorrow. It didn’t take long because most of the cleaning up was done by the girls on Saturday after art, but the kitchen is still pretty messy.

I’ll worry about that tomorrow.

After we got home, I phoned The Motivator who has been in Sydney lockdown for three months and seems to be coping quite well. We talked for well over an hour, sharing lots of covid information and catching up on life events.

It doesn’t matter if we’re on the phone or face to face, we talk a LOT! I guess that happens with like-minded people/friends.

In the end we had to hang up to cook dinner, but by then I couldn’t be bothered so I made cheese and tomato toasties for AH and I ate my prawns. I also fed him a big bowl of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and cream sprinkled with grated premium dark chocolate (the raw chunks from Nanas Pantry).

He was pretty happy with that.

We’ve had a couple of big storms scoot by us this evening. One of them was heading right for us but it split in two and half went south and the other half went north!

It’s almost 11.30pm and I’m feeling quite weary. Sleep time for me.

Nite all.

Trying Hard

This is blog post one of two - the covid version. Your choice.

The truth is trying really hard to reach the masses.

I watched a one hour video this morning where they were interviewing maybe 50 people in Israel who were themselves vaccine injured OR they had lost a child, parent or sibling to a vaccine death. At the end, the producer said that there were thousands of people in that situation and many of them were afraid to be on camera because of possible ramifications from the government.

When anybody tries to post this information on Twitter, it is either censored OR people attack the person for posting it because it will stop others from choosing to vaccinate 😳

Is there anybody out there making informed decisions anymore? Is everybody listening to just one side of the story and making decisions based on that one sided information? Do they believe that anything that goes against what they are told by media and govt is a lie?

I have watched at least 100 short 2 or 3 minute videos made by people who have been vaccine injured. Bells Palsy, stroke, blood clots, myocarditis, pericarditis, bleeding skin rashes, arthritis of all descriptions, miscarriages, gynaecological problems, paralysis, fluid on the brain, severe tinnitus, shingles, muscle weakness, haemorrhaging and the list goes on.

These conditions happened anywhere from ‘instantly’ to 2 months after the jab and at best some of them have 50% recovered after 6 months.

I am just one person spending one day a week searching for answers.

I am limited to the few platforms that I know about and I’m sure there are many more available that I haven’t discovered yet.

I attempted to watch some old videos (12 of them) that I’d saved from YouTube last year of Doctors or Scientists providing covid facts and every one of them have been removed with a message telling me that they didn’t meet with YouTube rules and standards.

Facebook either block or remove any video that goes against the mainstream agenda.

There have been Facebook groups formed - people who have been vaccine injured, people who are ‘pro-choice’, people whose employers are forcing them to vaccinate or lose their job, people from the medical industry who don’t want to be jabbed, teachers who don’t want to be jabbed, police who don’t want to be jabbed, truckies who don’t want to be jabbed … the list is endless and these people are from all over the world and the groups have thousands of members.

Slowly, one by one, they are being shut down by Facebook.

Why?

Because there is strength in numbers and if everybody who knows the truth find each other, the government is going to be in a lot of strife.

With both international AND interstate travel bans still in force, we have nowhere to go and we can’t rely on help from anywhere else. Each state has to fight for their own rights. Each profession has to fight for their own rights.

Surely when you see doctors, nurses, paramedics and police standing down and joining protest rallies, it has to mean something?

Oh that’s right … the media aren’t telling you about them are they?

The media tell you that a ‘few hundred’ trouble makers wanting a fight were protesting when in actual fact there were 15,000 protesters. They edit their footage and show you the worst bit from their own angle.

They don’t show you the footage where they sneak up behind unarmed Australians who are simply standing there and slam their bodies (and heads) into the ground. Males and females of all ages including a woman in her 70s.

They don’t show you the footage where they aim rubber bullets at peaceful protestors and they don’t show you the damage that those bullets do.

They don’t show you the footage of police pepper spraying random people, including children or innocent cyclists none of whom are even a part of the protests.

They don’t show you footage of 20 police personnel dressed in black all attacking two young men standing outside a shopping centre chatting. Even though the young men see them coming, they don’t even attempt to run because they have no idea what’s happening and they are thrown to the ground with knees in their backs and handcuffed.

There is no warning, no explanation, no reading of rights, just police screaming obscenities and keeping them on the ground.

All of these police have their faces covered by helmets so they can do anything they please to whomever they please. It reminds me of the worst cases in USA where I always said “only in America” but now Australia is the focus of the world and commentators are shocked at the violence - not by the protestors, but by our law enforcement.

The media are training Australians to believe that it’s necessary and it’s interesting how in one part of Sydney - the poorest areas - they are sending the police out in force, while in Bondi, Manly and the northern beaches, they are allowed to do this …

How does that even make sense?

The latest from the TGA website …

Pretty amazing how 535 reports of death after vaccination (remembering that only 10% at best are reported) have been whittled down to 9 confirmed. This means that 526 deaths were just ‘coincidence’?

Really?

Anyway, that’s my weekly vent. Take from it what you will. Ignore it if you wish.

I’m sad and afraid for what is happening to this country and to the people. It’s not about covid anymore. Surely you can see there is another agenda, because nothing makes sense. Surely you are feeling just a little bit suspicious?

Nite all.

Surprise!

This is number two of two blog posts - the covid-free one 🤗

There was no Sunday in bed for me.

It was a stunningly beautiful day. The temperature was mild. The breeze was just right. The sun was shining. The sky was blue.

We drove into The Bay.

We bought an oven!

It is a pyrolytic self cleaning oven that has an inbuilt air fryer! I’ve never used an air fryer before but I’ve heard good things. This oven has very good reviews and will hopefully last longer than the last two.

It’s being delivered on Tuesday.

After we organised the oven, which took about 15 minutes, we went to Officeworks where I intended to spend $20 but ended up spending $140! You know how it is.

Bunnings was next where we hoped to find a particular lawn mower. No luck there, but my god, there were people everywhere!! It took us ten minutes to find a park and the queues at the checkout were almost out to the garden section!

Note to self: Don’t go to Bunnings on a Sunday.

Off to Stocklands to do some grocery shopping, but first we found Su Jus Cafe where I ordered my fave J6 juice, AH got a coffee and we each selected a peanut butter slice which was ‘to die for’!

I was lucky enough to score six beautiful sunflowers 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 from Coles, we got our groceries, stopped at Craignish on the way home for some fresh seafood and lucky for us, the car battery did not go flat.

By the time we arrived home, AH was not feeling great so while he rested, I unpacked the groceries, made him some lunch, fed the dog, shelled my crab and made my lunch and we watched a Netflix movie together.

I crumbed some chicken for dinner.

We watched the NRL Grand Final and were both disappointed in the outcome. Not a fan of Penrith. Big fan of Souths and Wayne Bennett.

Now it’s well after 11pm so I’m off to sleep.

Nite all.
