Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Out To It

I fell asleep at midnight.

I woke at 2am to pee.

I next woke at 10am!

Good Lord!

Unheard of!

The Covid stuff filled my time until lunch time when Adoring Husband made me a coffee with macadamia milk and then I remembered the crab in the fridge so shelled some of that and sat on my couch with a plate full of crab meat and my macadamia nut coffee.

We watched a couple of fluffy Netflix Christmas movies.

I love fluffy Netflix movies - especially Christmas movies.

During all of this I watched the live streaming of rallies against covid mandates all over Australia.

Launceston, Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Perth, Broome, Sunshine Coast, Ballina, and this is Hervey Bay …

Approximately 2000 in Hervey Bay.

And lots of regional areas.

Here’s something of interest. One of our locals who has magic hands with wood created this …

He asked me to paint eyes on Ned Kelly but they looked ridiculous so he cleaned them off and brought the completed piece back to show me.

It’s pretty amazing.

I cooked up a green curry chicken for AH’s dinner. I had more crab and a fruit salad.

Now it’s almost midnight!

I’ve enjoyed my whole Saturday off and now look forward to two whole more days of laziness.

Shout out to Blonde Bombshell who is hopefully recovering well in RBH after a car accident today. We are all thinking of you and sending positive healing energy in your direction.

Sleep time now.

Nite all.

Covid: Report reveals increase in risk of heart attack following the mRN...

This is when the long term side effects begin to reveal themselves and it’s important for everyone to know so that they can get help quickly if they begin to feel symptomatic.

I closed the shop at midday and still passed my happy minimum in sales so that was satisfying.

The only reason I opened today was because I had to make a sign for the door advising that I would be closed until Tuesday. I also had to put a post on FB about it.

A customer was coming in to pick up a purchase.

I had to upload and edit the photos from yesterday.

On the way home, we stopped at the seafood guy and got some prawns for lunch. I also ordered 3 crabs to be picked up later in the afternoon.

I made prawn, avocado and mango salad with home made seafood sauce.

I was so distracted when we left the shop that I couldn’t remember if I’d locked the door so Adoring Husband kindly drove back after lunch to check it.

Then I realised that I’d forgotten to contact one of the art girls about the cancelled art class and her phone number was at the shop.

So at 4pm when it was time to pick up the crabs, we stopped at the shop so that I could make the phone call.

All in all it was probably a busier Friday than usual!

We’ve had some more nice rain during the day. 55mm on Thursday night.

I’m looking forward to my mini break - even if it’s only one more day off than usual!

It’s already past my self imposed 11pm curfew so I’m off to sleep.

Sisterly Love

My sister turned 50 today.

She was seven years old when I left home so it feels weird to think of her as 50.

I mailed her gift on Friday and she received it on Monday! Unheard of!

Happy birthday little sis. Luvyalotsxo

My friend Lady Lynn also had a birthday today!

Even though I think she wears her age beautifully, I know she is sensitive about it, so out of respect, I will not state it here.

Screw that!

Happy 72nd birthday Lady Lynn 🥳💐🎂🥂🎉

I love you and miss your face.

I had a busy day at the shop and had some great conversations with like minded people. I did not know they were like minded until today so it was a very pleasant surprise.

You know what I mean by ‘like minded’ right?

Of course you do.

Today, I received an email response from one of the Fraser Coast Council members telling me why he voted for keeping the vaccine mandates.

His response was nothing new and all he did was repeat the usual narrative coming from mainstream all the while telling me that he’s done his own independent research.

So I replied thanking him for being the one out of 46 to respond, suggesting where he could do some research and hoping that in the future he would find himself on the right side of history.

At the end of my day I had to dust off  my camera to meet the Dart Out man who took me to The Stokers house where I photographed a large jigsaw puzzle and a big old black dog.

This was a paying job.

For dinner, I made chicken and mushrooms in creamy garlic and white port sauce. Bloody beautiful with steamed asparagus.

I just watched the very happy ending to The Bachelorette. She chose well.

I had a small win in Powerball and aim to win the jackpot of $80 million next week.

Now I’m off to bed.

Years Ago

Twenty four years ago today, I lost my Dad.

I can’t believe that it’s been that long.

He wouldn’t have coped with this pandemic business. He was a bit of a hypochondriac as he got older so he probably would have driven me bonkers!

I’m grateful that I haven’t had to worry about my Mum and Dad during this time. It must be very stressful for anyone with elderly parents.

It was a pretty quiet day in the shop and I didn’t quite reach my happy minimum in sales.

The thing worth mentioning today is that Fraser Coast Council voted 7 - 3 against the mandates that will be in place from 17th December, so we are a step closer to becoming a ‘pro-choice’ zone just like Yeppoon.

I took it upon myself to email the offending three councillors to ask them why. No reply as yet.

Also no reply from the 43 emails that I sent out yesterday!

I received a box of Intrinsic stock today. It was stock that I preordered a month ago and had forgotten about. There is another preorder of candles and oils due this week too.

It was duck breast with salad for dinner tonight.

I bought some macadamia milk through the FROG shop this week so Adoring Husband attempted to froth it with the coffee machine. It worked very well! It was too late in the day for me to have a coffee but I’m looking forward to a macadamia nut coffee in the morning.

Now it’s almost 11pm so I’d best sign off and snuggle into bed.

My Chicklet had surfing lessons on Phillip Island today.

Weathery

What a ‘weathery’ couple of days we’ve had!

85mm of rain collected in our rain gauge over 24 hours.

I think we’ve got a couple of days of sunshine coming up and the rains will come again on Friday.

Even though sales were good enough to reach my happy minimum, today was not busy in the shop so I took it upon myself to send 43 emails to every QLD Senator and MP (a first for me!) I could find.

I have never felt so strongly about anything in my life and I am fearful enough for our future that I want to fight for it.

My fears have nothing to do with the pandemic.

So after a lovely coffee morning with The Brains Trust, Aggie and Maid Marian, that’s what filled my work day.

There were lots of heavy rain showers, and just when I  thought they were over, another one would hit hard and fast, which is probably what kept the customers away.

There was no journaling class this afternoon so I set up the room for meditation and was able to come home and make a chicken, tomato and rice dish to pop in the oven for a couple of hours.

I had some leftover chicken from last night and some watermelon. Just a little nibble really.

I’ve made a deal with myself to have lights out by 11pm. I haven’t been settling into sleep until after 1am for over a week and even though I’m sleeping soundly, it’s not enough sleep and it’s wearing me out so I need a better routine.

Just before I say good night, here is my little Bubba Hazie …

'What Percent Of CDC Employees Are Vaccinated?': Cassidy Grills Walensky...

Just a little mini video worth watching.

I had a lovely morning at Arkarra Tea Gardens with a combination of my art girls and meditation girls. We met for brunch but there was nothing on the menu that appealed to me so I ordered a pot of tea and watched ten ladies eat!

It was a very relaxed and funny morning and we discovered the one thing that we all have in common - a terrible memory! Our conversations were mostly filled with describing things or people so that somebody else could come up with the correct thing or name that we were talking about.

We were hilarious.

After only two hours we all said our goodbyes and headed home.

Well! The heavens that had been threatening all morning opened at the Toogoom turnoff and we could barely see the road in front of us. There were rivers flowing on both sides of the road and we aquaplaned a couple of times.

It was horrendous and with nowhere to stop we had to soldier on. It continued until we reached our turnoff where it was still raining but nowhere near as heavy.

I thanked the girls for delivering me safe and sound to my home and by this time I was feeling quite peckish so it was perfect weather for chicken soup out of the freezer and heated up on the stove top.

After lunch, Adoring Husband and I drove to the post office to pick up my parcel (Roogenic’s tea) and bought a whole chicken from the butcher for dinner.

AH had to drive to the local shops to meet a couple of tradies about some jobs that needed doing so I got to spend some time alone.

Roast chicken with sweet potato, carrot, zucchini, asparagus and home made gravy for dinner followed by berries and Zymil cream for dessert.

Trashy reality TV before bed.

It’s almost midnight so sleep time for me!

Nite all.

Hundreds of Thousands March in Melbourne

I don’t know how long this video will remain available on YouTube. Almost 8 minutes of sped up footage of the March in Melbourne.

Yesterday, because of this, I was feeling lighter.

I watched the live streams across Australia, in all states, of hundreds of thousands people marching for truth and freedom and I thought “Surely people will take notice of this. Surely people will begin to question what’s going on. Surely our leaders will recognise what the people want.”

Unfortunately the facts of the day have been hidden and manipulated.

Mainstream media have reduced the huge numbers involved to “a small group” and have decided to heavily aim their weapons at “antivaxers” telling Australia how dangerous these groups are … once again pitting a “them against us” narrative.

As if the population of Australia isn’t already weakened by the lies and cover ups - now we are weakened further by pitting us against each other.

This makes “them” even more powerful and gives “them” even more control over an entire nation.

The most shocking and most sickening thing of all is the new ammunition - of setting families against each other at Christmas. Offering advice on how to tell your family that they are not welcome if they’re not vaccinated!

YouTube have since removed the numbers under ‘dislike’ buttons.

How are the unvaccinated a danger to you if you are vaccinated? What was the point of vaccination if you don’t feel safe?

They are predicting a new Covid wave in December.

Wanna know why?

Because the vaccination wanes significantly after 6 months and the first wave of vaccinated, without a booster, become the “unvaccinated”.

The worst part is that the spike protein has weakened their immunity and their organs so that they  are worse off than before they were vaccinated.

Enough about that.

Now to this …

How can 2000 cases of myocarditis and pericarditis (just in ages 12-17yr olds alone) fall under the banner of ‘rare’?????

In all of the videos I’ve seen interviewing the kids or the parents of these kids, none of them were warned about the possibility of this happening.

The heart cannot repair itself so these kids are damaged for life, will be on medication forever and in a lot cases there is a 5 year prognosis.

I know that a couple of my once regular readers have stopped reading and my invitations to socialise have ceased - I assume because they disagree strongly with my stance.

Thankfully, there is, even in a small town like this, a healthy group of humans who are also hungry for the facts. People who listen. People who share. People who swim against current - and sometimes they come from the most unexpected places.

Sometimes they are afraid and they sit quietly in the background watching and listening and learning.

Sometimes they are brave and lead the way getting involved in every meeting, every March and every protest.

Sometimes they are like me and try to drop snippets of information that may or may not be picked up by the people we most care about. (To you, it may seem like an avalanche of information, but believe me when I tell you that what you get from me are small snippets.)

Mostly, they are the strongest and healthiest, both mentally and physically (I won’t say emotionally because I think the entire planet is emotionally unstable right now) because they advocate for their own health, listen to their body and love themselves enough to make the small sacrifices that strengthen their immunity/good health.

Of course we can only hope that it holds us in good stead when the inevitable Covid wave spreads through QLD - as the media have forewarned us.

Naturally if we unvaccinated are locked inside and banned from participating in the world, we’ll be very safe!

Even though my initial ‘lightness’ from yesterday’s amazing turnout in the nationwide peaceful protests has waned, the fact that with every march, the numbers grow, makes me hope that eventually the truth will be heard.

Remembering that USA began vaccinating in January this year, here is a comparison of Covid cases prevax 2020 to this year postvaxed 2021.

Can you see a marked difference?

That is my snippet for today.

I’m off for a swim.

Nite all.
