Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Sleepless In …

There must have been something in the air last night.

Adoring Husband was up half the night.

BGWLBH didn’t fall asleep until 4am.

I fell asleep at 1am and woke up at 3.30am, not able to fall back to sleep.

Needless to say, we were incapable of doing the markets.

My day was filled with Harley play, movies, napping, making hamburgers and more colouring in …

It’s 10pm and I’m going to attempt closing my eyes now and hopefully enjoy a night of solid sleep.

Nite all.

Brain Strengthening

 CDC buried vaccine death data

Hmmm, let me think …

I played with Harley.

I cooked some chicken.

I watched a movie.

I went meat and grocery shopping.

I watched my quiz shows.

I made some marinade.

I played with Harley again.

I discovered two game apps and played on them - one was a colouring in app with ZEN music in the background and the other was a coloured water app …

… where you have to move all the colours like this …

These are the completed pictures that I coloured in …

Talk about time wasters! BUT good for the brain!

Might be going to the markets tomorrow so best get some sleep.

Nite all.

Doggone It!

We found our way into The Bay today.

I did a grocery shop and we purchased our lotto tickets.

Sadly, my tickets were not winners.

The weather was a bit milder today, though it was very windy.

I had Harley play.

Spaghetti bolognese for dinner.

MAFS after dinner.

Now for sleep.

Still ill

I’m pretty good except for a lack of energy.

The other two are still sick.

Adoring Husband was feeling well enough to spend 30 minutes in the car to collect our FROG box and then drive me to the local shops to get some much needed food.

BGWLBH was feeling well enough to do a load of washing.

Harley and I played.

I showered for the first time in four days 😳 and felt so much better … funny that! Took a while to untangle my hair because I’d had it in a bun without brushing it for the same four days. You’d think being in a bun would keep it under control, but NO, it seems to mat together even worse!

Now I’m fresh and clean and untangled.

Not much effort in dinner tonight. AH had leftover shanks. BGWLBH had leftover zucchini slice with salad and honey soy chicken.

MAFS night tonight!

Time to sleep now.

Rain Rain Rain

We’ve had about 100mm of rain in the last 30 hours.

Everything is very damp.

At least there was a long enough break for Harley and I to play in the middle of day.

I didn’t even wake up until almost 11am and Harley was quite happy in his crate and there wasn’t a peep out of him!

Before our play, I made a smoothie with pineapple, mango, banana and a sweet and delicious passionfruit from our garden.

After I handed smoothies to everyone, I got started on dinner which was lamb shanks and vegetables in the slow cooker.

I set up my little machine to make a new batch of colloidal silver and to Harley’s delight I was finally ready to play!

The afternoon was full of fluffy Foxtel movies, the new Australian Tipping Point, early dinner and the new Deal or No Deal.

It will soon be midnight so I’m off to sleep.

Weather

There is, apparently, some heavy duty rain coming over the next few days.

We will be on the very edge of it, but just south of here it’s expected that up to 300mm of rain will fall in a very short period of time.

I hope we get some of it and I hope that afterwards, I cools right down.

For the first time in 16 years, we have mould growing on our bathroom door, because the weather has been SO hot and SO humid over such a prolonged period.

I even found mould coming under our front door! Like a creepy killer creature moving slowly through the house waiting to kill us with a slow, painful death!

Ugh 😩

Everybody in the house is still sick.

I am much better. It just feels like a head cold for me now, but I’m still low in energy.

I cooked zucchini slice in a muffin tray for dinner tonight. It felt the easiest thing to cook and served with a salad.

Now it’s late and I’m ready to sleep.

House of Illness

We all spent the day in bed.

Not together!

I fixed my sore throat in less than 24 hours by swallowing 2 or 3 mouthfuls of colloidal silver every couple of hours. I make it myself at 15ppm and I swear by it for wounds, cuts, abrasions, infections, rashes, sunburn, cold sores and ulcers for humans and for pets.

I still feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, which isn’t pleasant but I also feel like I’m already improving after just 24 hours.

There is lovely rain falling as I type this and the men have just started playing the Australian Open final in the tennis in Melbourne. I don’t really care who wins.

No cooking for me tonight and the others heated up the leftover lasagne from last night.

I started to watch the movie “Rabbit Proof Fence” today, but due to storm activity,  3/4 of the way through it, the TV lost connection so I missed the end. I’ll have to find it another day to see it.

I had a few naps today but I’m still tired. I may not get to see the end of the tennis.
