Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

I don’t have anything but this to help you start your day with the warm and fuzzies ...

Gotta work tomorrow so I’m off to bed.

Another Day

I spent a couple of hours with The Motivator today and this is what we decided ...

She made me a belated birthday cake and it is delicious! It’s a paleo carrot cake. I love extended birthdays 😊🥳🥰

I made a delicious banana and blueberry smoothie today and green curry chicken for dinner. I chopped up a couple of fresh pineapples to freeze for smoothies and whips.

That was the extent of my day.

Gotta prepare for some cool and unstable weather heading in our direction!

It’s almost midnight so I’m off to bed.

Nite all

Believe it or not

The numbers of Doctors and Scientists all over the world who are trying to get information out into the world about the facts and their findings over the last 4 months regarding this pandemic is amazing.

The censorship of this information by the social media platforms is equally amazing.

I have watched about 50 videos and interviews over the last few days. Videos made by doctors on the frontline, those working in ICUs in New York, California, Washington and a couple of the European hospitals and they are telling us completely different information to what the media are telling us.

Some videos get deleted or removed almost immediately with a message saying they “don’t abide by the rules or beliefs” of eg youtube, Facebook or whatever platform.

Luckily these Drs and Scientists are persistent and continue to load their videos while many other people are sharing them and trying to get the word out there.

These are the people that we should be listening to.

Anyway, this is my favourite one for the last 24 hours. It goes for an hour but this Dr provides facts, figures, stats and information about the virus plus info about strengthening your immunity and how to prevent infection.

Dr Erickson explains Covid 19

Adoring Husband and I drove into The Bay today and it really felt like the supermarkets shelves were almost back to normal.

We found toilet paper in three different supermarkets! It was a good day!

Sleep time for me.

Brain Resting

I haven’t got much to say today, because nothing much has happened!

A true day of isolation.

Imagine how much more fun isolation would be with this!!

Even if you hate snakes, you’ve gotta love that.

Nite all.

Self Care

Ive had a nice day.

After I enjoyed my morning coffee in bed, I got up to bathe psychotic dog Ruby’s face and eyes ... yet again.

I had a shower to make myself presentable for a public outing on my trike. It was such a beautiful day for it, so I rode for about 30 minutes as well as shopping at the butcher and supermarket.

When I arrived home I made a mint condition juice and sliced up a big chunk of of watermelon which we took outside to the Bali hut. The water was way too chilly for swimming, so we made ourselves comfortable and Adoring Husband read his book while I continued my education on YouTube.

This was my favourite pick for the day.

This 11 minute video explains very simply how your internal glands, organs and immune system respond to protect you depending on the thoughts you think. (Ignore the strange, irrelevant title)

It’s the reason why I don’t watch or listen to the news - because fear, stress and anger - even in small doses, has a damaging affect inside and out.

Afterwards I did a load of washing and prepared dinner.

The day passed so quickly! We only squeezed in one episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

Now it’s almost 1am so I need sleep so that I can be awake in time for a very important phone call in the morning.

Nite all.

I’m Late I’m Late

It’s already way after midnight!

Productivity was nonexistent today.

YouTube docu-series filled my morning and after lunch Grey’s Anatomy filled our afternoon.

Thanks to The Motivator, we enjoyed some fresh mackerel for dinner.

I might attempt to fill my day with something more productive than staring at screens today.

I’ll go for a ride on my trike, do some washing, maybe do some art and ... ew ... some housework.

Today I’m grateful for

  1. This time of year when the nights are cool for sleeping.
  2. My simple, relaxed and comfortable lifestyle.
  3. The fact that my kids are so far surviving this pandemic unscathed.
Now I should get some sleep.

Eventually 😋

Nite all.
