Perfect sleeping weather with gentle rain and a cool breeze floating through the bedroom window.
I had a full day at the shop with lots of customers and plenty to unpack.
The ‘missing’ third box of stock was delivered early this morning so I finished unpacking, checking, pricing and displaying the products.
Some of the Vistaprint order arrived - new gift vouchers, coffee mug and cash tin bag with the new logo, stickers, and decals to put on the A-frame sign.
The Cenzoni leather bags arrived and I phoned the customer whose order was also in the box. She turned up just before closing to purchase her order and promptly asked me to order a third leather bag. She has claimed a beautiful leather backpack for one of her friends too.
My essential oils also turned up. I ran out of ‘sweet sleep’ a while ago and I found a different brand to try. I’ll let you know if they work.
I’ve already taken four names for next week’s art workshop so I imagine that it will fill quickly. Now I just have to figure out what method of pouring to do for the first week back!
Adoring Husband and I will be clearing the storage area tomorrow afternoon after we lock up and attaching the clothes hanging rails to the walls.
I bathed Ruby’s eye before I came to bed, then sprayed colloidal silver all around it before administering the drops.
I’m in bed now, but I’m feeling a bit peckish. I won’t eat at 11pm at night!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!

It’s so easy!
I just read this article about how a simple ingredient in argon oil caused terrible side effects for this person. She is a natural healer with a strong business and an excellent reputation, but her busy lifestyle left her less vigilant than usual and she became very ill.
It’s a short story and worth reading. Such a simple thing caused such a huge problem.
How I Poisoned Myself
Today’s meditation was one of the best we’ve had with ‘aha’ moments for everyone. It even ran 15 minutes over time and then everyone lingered for another 20 minutes after that. I really enjoyed it.
I spent some quality time with The Gypsy after everyone left which was nice.
The morning was very slow as far as sales and customers are concerned, but the afternoon was pretty amazing and we closed an hour later than usual because the customers just kept coming.
Adoring husband changed the light bulb in the bathroom which is located in a very high ceiling, which meant he had to bring the big ladder from home. The poor ladies at meditation had to pee in the dark this morning!
The new clothes rails and coat hangers arrived today, two days earlier than they told me, so that’s our Saturday afternoon filled for this weekend. A whole wall of clothing rails to screw in should keep AH busy for a while.
It’s not even 9pm and I can barely keep my eyes open. I had a 9 hour work day so I guess that’s enough wear this old biddy out.
Nite all.

This is it
There is a little language in this video, but this guy explains very well, the different levels of power that manage and control the riots in USA. It’s not at all how mainstream media portray it.
I was a good day at the shop.
The perfect start with a two hour coffee date in the back room with my girls, interrupted a couple of times by pesky customers (just joking) and once by a man who is new to Burrum Heads and is a photographer.
He was considering renting the vacant shop next to the bakery, but realises that the rent and expenses could never be covered by selling just his photography in this town.
He is going to sell at the markets instead. He’s quite a good photographer, but just like the other photographer in town, who posts on the community page, his horizons are all cooked and sloping - that’s my pet peeve!
Looking at his Facebook page, you can see his progress and improvement since he started his photographic journey and he could do well with a few tweaks here and there. Having said that, he has had a photo go viral on social media and it reached the news so he’s doing ok.
Lots of return visitors in town and I even received a phone call from a woman in Newcastle, disappointed that the borders are still closed and she can’t make her annual trip to our area, so she called to make a purchase over the phone! How cool is that!?
I paid a supplier over the phone so that my order could be processed and I emailed another order through to a different supplier. The next couple of weeks should see some different stock arriving in dribs and drabs.
Again, I was surprised when I saw Adoring Husband drive past the shop. The days pass so quickly!
I set up the training room by socially distancing the chairs ready for meditation In the morning and put the donation box out.
It’ll be an early start tomorrow, so I’d best get some sleep.

Broken Rule
I couldn’t help myself and I spent the morning in bed working.
First of all, I had to contact Vistaprint to find out why their server was too busy to take my order and payment. After a frustrating conversation with a Vistaprint teleoperator, I discovered that the problem was in fact on the PayPal end of the transaction.
I fixed the problem and completed the order. ✅
I closed the old shop bank account over the phone and asked questions regarding the new one. ✅
I went to Roz’s Happy Place so that I could get the Google code to create my Google Business account. They phone the shop landline and issue a code which I then had to add to the account to verify that the business is mine. ✅
It was not as straight forward as I thought and I seemed to go around in circles for a while. When the new signage arrives, I’ll take a photo of the shop frontage so that I can use that as my profile pic.
I verified my paypal account by getting the secret code that they put into my bank account and added it to my paypal bank details. ✅
It’s all very ‘James Bond’ with secret codes and such.
I looked up the school holiday dates for Queensland and set some dates for future art workshops. ✅
One of the new tables that I ordered, arrived in the mail today so Adoring Husband put that together this afternoon. He also oiled the new timber kitchen bench.
My decision for new work hours for the shop is 9am - 2pm.
That was my day.
I’m looking forward to coffee with the girls in the morning so I’d best get some sleep.

Reasonably Restful
The Art of Being Yourself - Caroline McHugh (26 minutes worth watching)
I was artfully being “me” in bed for most of the day!
I woke at 7am and left the bed at 2pm.
During that time I
Whew! That’s pretty good going for a lazy Sunday!
I did a lamb roast for dinner, watched the footy and then Big Brother. Now I’m in bed with my sleepy tea beside my sleepy husband, who built a kitchen bench for the shop this morning and bought me a laminator while he was in The Bay!
Tomorrow I will put the shop stuff away for the day, do some washing, change the bedding and then focus on some self care. A peaceful afternoon of meditation and perhaps some hooping, maybe some art? I’ll see how I feel because rain has been forecast, so it might be a snuggle in bed with a good book kind of day.
I’m feeling quite weary now, so it’s sleepy time for me.

During that time I
- edited a png image to help with my signage
- created a new PayPal account for the business
- changed both the Facebook and Instagram pages to reflect the new business
- created a google business page (which can’t be verified until tomorrow)
- finished all the artwork for my signage via Vistaprint but their server was too busy to allow me to finalise the order.
