Adoring Husband was in BIG trouble tonight.
🤬
At the same time, I learned a valuable lesson.
At lunch time today, I asked AH what time the AFL grand final was on.
He said he didn’t know, but after a little while, he told me 6pm.
We then had a long discussion about how in previous years, we were sure it started at 2pm.
I even did a search in my blog and over the years, the GF was always on during the day, so we agreed that it was strange for it to start at 6pm this year.
Because I was looking forward to this game, knowing that my team, Brisbane Lions, (2nd to Carlton of course) was the underdog, the day seemed to move so freaking slowly.
I filled my day with reorganising 2 shelves of my pantry, binge watching a series of Australian “Love it or List it”, packaging my freshly made chicken bone broth, crumbing and cooking my prawn cutlets and of course, Harley play.
At 6pm, I sat down with some reheated chicken broth, ready to watch the match.
AH turned on Foxtel 504 and noticed that the word ‘LIVE” was not in the top right hand corner of the screen - which usually means that it’s a replay.
I said “Put it on channel 7. They are the ones with the AFL rights to ‘live’ grand final.”
But the news was on channel 7.
THAT was when AH discovered that the grand final was finished and HAD in fact been played at 2pm, as is usual on grand final day.
Ugh 😩🤬🤯
I yelled.
I swore.
I bitched and complained.
I nagged.
I yelled some more.
I checked online to see the final score and was pleased to see that Brisbane Lions had won, so we watched the replay on Foxtel 504.
The lesson I learned (the hard way) was that if I want information about anything important, I need to find it myself - even when AH cries “Why don’t you ever believe me!?” THAT IS WHY!
I know what time the qualifying final for NRL between Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers commences on Sunday, because I looked it up myself. 😛
Lesson learned.
Nite all.
