Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Rainy Wet and Damp

A little giggle…

This photo was taken in 1946. This guy was Ken Shimizu. He was 35 years old that time. He has 2 children. Shimizu never runs. Sleeps late. Eats whatever he wants. Even drinks beer instead of water. Eats dinner with different kinds of food every night. What does Shimizu do to get such a body? Shimizu doesn't have any secrets. Shimizu is the person sitting in the bottom left corner of the photo. As for the man standing in the middle, I'm not sure.

Haha.

I had a late start this morning and didn’t rise until 9am.

After I made breakfast for BGWLBH and sampled my chicken bone broth from the slow cooker, I took Harley out to play.

Adoring Husband drove into The Bay to run some errands before the rain set in.

We had 60mm last night and it’s been raining heavily all afternoon and evening today.

Today I made up a batch of Harley food with beef mince, lightly boiled vegetables, raw egg, best mates powder and pet hemp oil.

I batched and froze 14 containers of chicken bone broth.

Yesterday I made 1.2 litres of colloidal silver.

I also spent a lot of time in front of the TV watching recorded I’m a Celeb, an old Western “Once Upon a Time in the West” with Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson and three games of footy.

I made the marinade and AH cooked the chicken tonight - usually our Friday night fare but we had leftovers on Friday night so as not to waste the food.

We are in the final minutes of the Broncos vs Raiders game and I’m ready for bed. Broncos are winners!

Oh! I have to share that Vegan Chickie met Alice Cooper in Melbourne last night! I’m so excited and so jealous!

Nite all.
