I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!

A Ghostly date
I just want to declare that I LOVED 'GHOSTBUSTERS'!
I don't remember the original movie very well, because I was never a big fan. I certainly didn't hate it, but I could never understand the hype that surrounded it. We bought the original movie on dvd today and will watch it over the weekend. That should trigger my memory and I can make some comparisons.
This new movie makes me want to BE a ghostbuster! If it wasn't already way after midnight, I would write a full review here, but it's late and I'm tired and I'm off to bed.
I just want to make it clear that the preview of the movie does not do it justice!
Nite all.
