Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

The Art of …

The art of letter writing.

I sent a letter writing pack to Chicklet for her birthday and asked if she would write to me. Tonight I decided to write to her first. I bought stickers today so that I could put stickers on the letter and envelope and I also found a little plastic card with lovely words about granddaughters, so I included that.

I’ll post it tomorrow morning.

My YouTube channel has about 6 videos of Harley on it and one of them has more than 100,000 views! How crazy is that!?

There are lots of comments under the video telling me how cruel I am for making him go into the pool to get his ball.

People are weird.

BGWLBH and I spent the day in The Bay.

While she was attending a Doctor’s appointment, I went to Tinkerbell’s where I put some jewellery on layby. It’s going to take a while to pay it off. I also purchased a birthday gift for BGWLBH and then on my third lap around the shop, I found some books, affirmation cards and a meditation journal.

I bet they rub their hands with glee when they see me coming.

There is a dress shop nearby that I popped into and tried a couple of tops on, but they didn’t quite sit right, so they remained in the shop.

Nana’s Pantry for antiinflammatea.

Office Works for white pens, paint brushes and sheets of stickers.

Spotlight for paint brushes, stickers, dot brushes and scrunchies.

Pet barn for liver treats.

Stocklands for bread, groceries, fresh fruit, lotto tickets and fresh juice.

It was quite late when we arrived home, so I set aside some time for Harley and he played fetch and swam in the pool for about 30 minutes.

I cooked butter chicken with rice and papadums for dinner.

Then MAFS was on the TV agenda.

It took me an hour to write Chicklet’s letter and now it’s rapidly approaching midnight so I’d best sleep.

Nite all.
