Well, it looks like the repair job on our house is going to be bigger than Ben Hur. A major repair involving a cast of thousands and the possibility that we will have to move out for a period of time as well. However, we still don't know exactly what's going on, so instead of stressing about what might happen, I choose this ...
Today, I am grateful for my ability to go with the flow, roll with the punches and let the universe do what it will. I know that it will all work out in the end ... it always does :D
Looking forward to a breakfast fry up at the park in the morning, with my boys, so I'm off to get a good nights sleep, so that I can get an early start.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
