Adoring Husband and I had a date today.
Lunch at Aquavue on the waterfront and then a movie.
"The Heat" starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.
It was hilarious! If you can handle the f-bomb, which is dropped too many times to count, you'll get a good giggle out of this one.
Of course we had to get some new treats for SEB the cockatiel while we were in town.
We even got a treat for me! A nice new set of headphones for my tutorials, so that I can't hear AH when he accidentally tries to talk to me in the middle of photoshop lessons.
So it's been a good day. Another warm Winter sunshiny day.
Tomorrow I plan to spend all afternoon in my own personal class room.
I am in 'learning' mode and I'm quite looking forward to that.
Today, I am grateful for warm Winter home made soups to end perfect date days.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
