Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Neighbourly Love

I think I need to have another dinner party!

Obviously, flower arranging is not my forte!!

I'm trying to decide whether to leave the table set so that Adoring Husband gets the shock of his life when he wakes up in the morning, or clear it all away before I go to bed.

I had a very nice day in The Bay with Woman of Many Talents, although we experienced gale force conditions in there!! We could feel the wind gusts moving the car as we drove home.

I bought some lovely bright yellow bath towels and matching bath mat from Pillow Talk.

Yellow makes me feel so happy!

Late this afternoon I had to ride to the supermarket to get some storage containers to freeze my bone broth. The head wind was so strong, it almost blew me backwards! It was a real struggle to get there. Luckily, I had a tail wind on the way home, although the wind gusts almost sent my tray of coffees flying a few times.

It's been another very good day.

Nite all.
