Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

1 Sleep

By the time you read this, Adoring Husband will be in Brisbane and probably already in his hospital room.

Now, the countdown to surgery will begin!

Today was another lazy one for me.

AH did his last mow for work. He won’t be allowed to work for at least a month after surgery and I’ll be doing the cleaning during that time.

He showed BGWLBH how to use the electric mower so she can do our lawns if necessary.

So I sat on my butt sometimes and other times I lay dozing on the couch. I didn’t sleep well last night so I was feeling very weary with low energy today.

I cooked crispy skinned chicken with sweet potato and potato chips as well as a garden salad for dinner, which I didn’t eat.

I ate a bowl full of sweet and juicy fresh pineapple.

We’ve enjoyed a great afternoon of Magic Round Football. My tipping this year is abysmal! I should give up lol.

I think it’s time for me to wrap my belly with the castor oil wrap and snuggle down for some sleep.

Nite all.
