Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Summertime

Here we are.

First day of Summer!

It has been overcast and stormy for most of the day, but very little rain fell here.

Harley and I played in the rain this morning. He doesn’t care about the weather and I have a Bali hut to sit beneath.

After we played, I made myself some breakfast and watched fluffy Netflix Christmas movies.

I watched the WBBL T20 cricket final between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades. Brisbane Heat lost by 6 runs. Renegades were wooden spooners last year so to win it this year is a big achievement! Even though it was rain affected, it was a good match.

I made spaghetti bolognese for dinner and we all played trivia for an hour.

Adoring Husband and I watched the old movie “White Christmas” and right now I’m lying in bed watching “American Graffiti”.

With so much time in front of the big screen, my mother’s threats of square eyes are going to come to fruition!

It’s been a nice day.

Nite all.
