I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!

I need a nap!
This is how I updated my facebook status this evening.
This 'Boz' is exhausted (happily so) from being a grandmother for the longest stint yet. Exploring the garden, rearranging the garden ornaments, filling one watering can with dead grass, filling the other with rocks, reorganising the dvd collection, finding new homes for all the teddies, swimming and dancing with fishies on a string, reading about and hiding Ronnie the Roo, taking all the froggy (nibbit nibbit) ornaments for a swim in the dog's water dish, removing all the froggy fridge magnets, filling Wilbur Herbert's bucket with pebbles, watching a bit of 'Chicken Little' and a bit of 'Cars', playing 'upside-down' and 'faster, faster' and 'horsies' in the yard. I think that just about covers most of it. Think I'll sleep well tonight :D Thank you for listening :D
