Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Bay Day

BGWLBH had a nail appointment early this morning.

We planned on doing breakfast in The Bay, which I was looking forward to because it means I don’t have to cook and I get to choose something delicious and different for my breakfast.

Instead, Adoring Husband decided to cook breakfast for he and BGWLBH at 7am and that meant, of course, that I missed out. I can’t eat that early and bacon and eggs are not my top choice.

I opted for a green juice from Su Jus Cafe at 9am.

Disappointing.

Story of my life.

I did some more Christmas shopping while I waited for BGWLBH.

We shopped at Office Works for art supplies AND at Choice which has a pretty good selection of paints, pens, brushes, paper, canvases etc.

I browsed the craft shop in Pialba where I found some lovely gifts.

We shopped at Go Natural and had to find another newsagent because the Pialba store is closed until further notice!

I restocked Harley’s dog bones and our bacon.

We were all over the place.

Tomorrow is meditation day so it’s sleep time for me.

N

Nite all.
