Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Rock Star Return Road Trip!

The boys at the Seat of Knowledge were surprised to see both BGWLBH and I arrive this morning!

Adoring Husband suggested to me on Thursday, that I might like to travel back to Griffith with BGWLBH and then fly home from there.

I thought about it long and hard and even though I had a lot of reasons to 'not' go, I decided that the extra photographic opportunities and the chance to get a few more 'Art Deco' shots were too good to miss.

So last night, at approximately 7pm, I committed myself to the journey 100%.

This meant that BGWLBH would have to wait an extra 24 hours while I got myself organised.  ie Did some washing and ironing and packing and contacting people to cancel some dates that I'd made.

I am now 3/4 packed and tomorrow morning at around 6am, we will be heading off on the return Rock Star Road Trip!

Unfortunately, Wilbur Herbert won't be able to tag along this time, because, on my return flight home,  I have no room for him in my suitcase.

He's feeling sad.

I won't dilly dally tonight because I need a good night's sleep ready for an early start to travelling.

Further to my post last night, the lovely Win passed away peacefully this morning.

May she rest in peace.

Nite all
