Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

We're off with a bit of hysteria!

This is how the day began ...

It was our first stop for a photograph.  We had hoped for a misty morning to get some nice early morning shots, but this was as much mist as we would see all day.

I took over one thousand photos today because we had some ideas that required taking multiple shots at various times of the day and night.

They were shots for the new flickr challenge.  None of them turned out as we imagined them in our heads though.

I don't consider them to be failures though, because I've learned a lot today.

We had a good day of travelling and had many bouts of hysterical laughing along the way.   Nobody else would find any of what we laughed at funny at all ... but you know what it's like when friends get together ... you laugh at the most ridiculous things!

Anyway, it's late and I am exhausted from all that laughter today!

Our only real plan for tomorrow is to, at some stage, stop at Stanthorpe so that BGWLBH can buy some more passionfruit fudge!

We do, however, hope to get a nice early start to the day, when the light is nice.

Nite all.
