We played Trivial Pursuit. What else do you do on a cold, wet, windy public holiday Monday?
I'm sure Adoring Husband knows exactly how many games of Trivial Pursuit or Trivia related games that we have - I'm guessing about 8 to 10 boxes.
Today we played 3 of them - one of them, we continued to play even after we had a winner.
I think we won one game each so the score is tied - I'm pretty sure that in total over the past month, we have won two games each.
The good thing about playing this board game, is that BGWLBH and I can both knit while we play, so we are being creative at the same time as exercising our brain!!
At the end of it all, I passed on the job of cooking dinner to both BGWLBH and Adoring Husband.
Dinner was rump steak, sweet potato and potato chips all cooked on the barbecue and a delicious salad.
After the cleaning up was done by the two of them and not me, we each sat in front of a different television in different rooms to watch different shows lol.
I don't want you to think that our trivia games caused some kind of rift between us, because HONESTLY, we finished the game as friends!!
Everyone else is in bed asleep and as usual, I am the last man standing so I need to share my only two photos for the day and finish up here, so that I can sleep and possibly rise early enough to catch a nice sunrise.
I have morning tea with the girls, lunch with the Chicklet family and then we three are going to see the movie Prometheus in the late afternoon.
I need a good night of sleep to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for my big day!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
