I was inspired by my 'Self Portrait' shot last month, for which I came third.
I decided to incorporate that lovely mask in the 'Spaghetti/Portrait' shot for the photo5 competition.
Here is the result...
Now I have an idea for the 'Tissue Paper/Strong Colour' brief.
I will have to wait til Vegan Chickie, the Bare-chested Chef and Chicklet are here, because I'll need two or three people to make it work.
After that, I'll only have 'Fishing Wire/Black and White' to contend with!
A couple of lazy shots from this morning.
We've had gale force conditions here today and huge storms this afternoon. The light after a storm is always beautiful, but when the sun is setting after the storm, it creates a pretty special picture.
Unfortunately, I saw it too late to get to the river for something better than this, but I really wanted to share the colour.
Big day tomorrow. Driving to Bundaberg to collect the camper van and I'll be seeing my baby Chicklet toooooooo! Oh and Vegan Chickie and the Bare-chested Chef as well :D
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
