Tuesday night is currently my favourite TV night.
I enjoy watching Big Brother, X-Factor, Big Bang Theory, Winners and Losers and Greys Anatomy. Trouble is, they are all on different channels and on at staggered times, so it's tricky to record them and keep up with them!
My problem tonight, is that I am so tired, I don't know if I can even stay up for my shows.
If that is my biggest problem for the day, then I am doing ok aren't I? (I can imagine my kids rolling their eyes at that comment)
I didn't sleep well last night because I was so worried about Chicklet being sick on their flight home from Bali. (In case you are wondering, she is doing well now. The Bare-chested Chef is not doing so well, so send your good wishes in his direction.)
Then a one hour walk this afternoon in cyclonic winds.
I am plum tuckered out!
Just one photo to share for the day.
He doesn't look half as windswept as I did by the time I walked off the beach!
Even Adoring Husband's delicious dinner tonight, of fish and salad hasn't given me enough energy to get through my shows!!
I really must not let Adoring Husband distract me from my studies tomorrow. After some necessary housework in the morning, study is on the agenda for the afternoon. (Are you listening Adoring Husband?)
Enough of this frivolity!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
