Gratefully, I didn't have to endure the long drive to Bundaberg with Adoring Husband to pick up the camper van today.
I got to spend some precious peaceful hours at home alone and then some even more precious hours with my little Chicklet and Vegan Chickie and the Bare-chested Chef.
By the sounds of it, the drive home was less than enjoyable for Adoring Husband and the borrowed car did not handle the drive well with the strong winds and a camper van behind.
I'm pleased that I missed that particular experience!
However, they (and by 'they', I mean Adoring Husband AND said camper van) arrived home in one piece and while the rest of us sat around waiting impatiently, Adoring Husband took approximately fifteen minutes to set the van up so that we could make the inspection.
It's neat and compact, light and airy, with plenty of room for three psychotic dogs, laptops, cameras and 'US'.
Now Adoring Husband has his heart set on a new car - a Suzuki something or other, so that will be the next step to ensure our safe travelling in the future.
No photos today, but I will definitely have some to share tomorrow night!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
