A short break in the rain this morning and I got these ...
... but the break didn't last long, so by the time I got home, I was almost drenched through!
I had to blow dry my hair before I went to the hairdressers! There's nothing nicer than a couple of hours spent at the hairdressers being pampered. The only other pampering I prefer, is a full pedicure with foot massage included - delicious!
This afternoon I missed a beautiful sunset, but prior to that I was playing with my camera, some weeds and the lovely afternoon light in the back yard. (No sign of Jake the snake, thank goodness!)
So today, I am grateful to my regular hairdresser, who knows how to make my visit a pleasure and who supported me by attending my photography exhibit last year. She's a lovely lady and (not that she reads this blog) I dub her 'Snips'!
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!

Roz, I absolutely love the "weed" photo. Beautiful lighting.
