Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Bee Amazing

I discovered this today and found it captivating, so thought I'd share it here.

My local people were very happy with their photo restoration and showed me another that they hoped I could fix. I'm pretty happy with the finished product here too. It's actually a very large photo - slightly bigger than A4 size.

Considering the median age of this town (59), I could probably make a nice little income doing this on a regular basis!

Anyway, I sacrificed study to do this job (you can tell how sad I am about that, can't you?).

I spent a couple of hours with four lovely ladies for morning tea, then I delivered a parcel to The Speckled Hen at the hairdressing salon, took the restored photos from yesterday to their rightful owners, visited 'Apple' to check on the details for tomorrow's luncheon, came home and scanned the new photo for restoration, worked out what I'm wearing tomorrow, cooked a late lunch for Adoring Husband who arrived home from SES duties, did some research and sent emails to two companies on the Sunny Coast, restored the above photo, cooked dinner and watched junk TV all evening.

What a busy, but fairly unproductive day for me!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's luncheon with the girls. Best get some sleep.

Nite all.
