Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Quotes of Encouragement.

Tonight, I accompanied The Motivator into The Bay and attended a Jeunesse meeting where I learnt more about the many and varied products that they have available,  how the company came into being and how and why it continues to flourish.

What attracts me the most is that the products are certified organic, GMO free, hypoallergenic and phthalate free.

It was a very interesting evening and I learnt a lot, however, I am attending another meeting tomorrow morning to learn more, so I'll tell you more about it after that!

In the meantime, here are some quotes of encouragement.

I just wanted to mention that I was torn about attending tomorrow's meeting because it means that I'm going to miss morning tea. I LOVE my weekly morning tea with the girls and I HATE that I'm missing it this week!! It may seem like such a small thing, but I struggled making the decision to attend the meeting instead.

So girls, I apologise for the short notice and I'll catch up with you soon!

Nite all.
