For some strange and inexplicable reason, I felt the need this morning, to socialise! Maybe because I missed my morning tea with the girls on Tuesday.
I started at the Seat of Knowledge, then bought my coffee, and half way home, I decided to drop in on Apple, knowing that The Reality TV Queen would also be visiting during the morning.
For the last 3 months, the Reality TV Queen has been dog sitting a long haired Jack Russell named Harry. Today was her last day with him, so she was taking him for a walk to say goodbye to everyone. I think she was kind of torn. Happy to have her life back, but at the same time, sad to be losing him.
We three spent a couple of hours over coffee, bitching, laughing, bragging, whinging and telling animated stories. The Reality TV Queen is the second best story teller of all time and makes me laugh so hard. The only story teller better than her, is Tweedle Dee, but she has left town, so her top spot is on offer.
I finally found my way home around midday, by which time, the motivation level for cleaning was pretty low! No cleaning today!
I cooked lunch and then an early dinner because Adoring Husband had a meeting tonight. While he was at the meeting, I disappointingly overcooked some chocolate lava cupcakes. They will have to be mixed with coconut cream and berries, because they are too dry to eat as they are.
I'll attempt another batch over the weekend.
This evening I added a quote to one of my own photos ...
... and found another one in facebook that I liked ...
I received my Statement of Attainment for the studies that I completed. It seems that I am now able to confirm your physical health status, communicate effectively, make referrals to other health care professionals and provide basic dietary advice.
My GPA (Grade Point Average) was 6.4 (the grading is between 1 and 7).
So there you go.
You never know, one day I might re-enrol and finish the course!
But right now, I am enjoying my life.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
