Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

A Typical Day

Interesting …

The beekeeper forgot to insert the frames in the hive in which the bees collect the honey. The hardworking insects then built their own architecture from the honeycomb so that the air can flow freely and maintain a stable temperature.

Gotta love Mother Nature.

Same old routine for me today. Cooking breakfast. Playing with Harley. Doing art. Watching TV. Playing some more with Harley. Watching football. Cooking dinner.

I made a pasta dish tonight to go with honey, tamari, garlic, chilli chicken. The pasta dish included capsicum, onion, spinach and tomatoes from the garden. I added bacon, avocado and mini cubes of potato. It was quite delicious and everyone had a second helping.

Started to plan a ‘meet up’ on the Sunny Coast with an old friend from Griffith but her host tested positive to Covid today, so the plans were cancelled when they chose to isolate.

Now I’m watching ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’.

Harley is sitting at the back door crunching on a bone.

Adoring Husband has been out mowing all day but seems to be pretty chipper and alert after 5 hours of laborious work! He even chose to clean the kitchen after dinner!

Now I’m off to decide which girls will end up with which farmer.

Nite all.
