Day Twenty - Bokeh
Merry Christmas everybody :D
What a fabulous day we had today. Our first with little Chicklet. Good food, good company, lots of giggles. Just a wonderful family Christmas.
It seems like I spent a LOT of time in the kitchen though!
We had a Skype call with Bubbles this afternoon and tried to call BGWLBH's Dad on Skype but got the 'call failed' message. It would have been so nice to introduce Chicklet to BGWLBH and her family on Skype.
Earlier in the day there were phone calls from Number One Son, my sister Squirt and Adoring Husband's son JS.
Right now, I am absolutely exhausted and we have a big Boxing Day barbecue to attend tomorrow, down by the river, so yet another short and sweet post tonight.
Unfortunately, the photos were not as good as I'd hoped, and I haven't been through them all yet, so I will probably post a couple tomorrow night as well.
For now, enough,
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
