I bet you're thinking that I spent my day off in bed.
My usual habit of staying in bed and studying and reading and playing in Facebook did not appeal to me today, so I was on the trike with my camera bag in the basket before 8am.
I visited the boys at the Seat of Knowledge.
I picked up a take away coffee.
I dropped in to see The Motivator at the shop.
I checked mail.
I walked bare foot along the beach.
I triked along the river and found these guys ...
I followed a Sea Eagle but he did all of his exciting stuff at a distance too far to photograph.
I did some grocery shopping.
I arrived home some time after 11am.
I watched the movie 'Girl on a Train'.
I cooked stuffed mushrooms, roast pumpkin spinach & pine nut salad and crispy skinned chicken for lunch.
I edited some photos from last week's photo shoot.
It's almost 11pm and I think my day is done.
I have a lot planned for tomorrow, so it's bed time for me.
Nite all.
I'm lazy and selfish and spend too much time on the internet. I love to be creative with photography and jewellery and sketching with pencil and pastels. I'm happier now than I have ever been and I love everything about my life ... where I live, my home, my fantastic grown up children, my lifestyle, my friends, my dogs and last but not least my wonderful adoring husband. Life is good!
Nice to see you!
Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.
Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.
Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**
Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!
So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!
Welcome to my dilemna!!
