Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Nobody Knows

We braved The Bay today and I swear that we are the only people in the world concerned about Covid 19 - oh except for all the people who have bought ALL the toilet paper, tissues, tinned tomatoes, pasta and sugar.

😳

When will the madness end?

When will we, once again, be able to slowly browse the fully stocked aisles and safely fill our trolleys to the brim?

I confess that I bulk bought maple syrup today ... however ... we ALWAYS buy six bottles at a time, so this is not unusual.

Our first stop this morning was to drop psychotic dog Colli into the groomers, which gave us an hour to GSD (get stuff done).

I quickly popped into Tinkerbells to pick up my lay-by that I had forgotten all about. Dan, the owner seems to think that they will lock their doors sometime between Tuesday and Friday next week, so I’m glad I remembered today!

We picked up some printer ink from Officeworks.

Searched high and low for TP.

HBW, chemists, supermarkets - not a roll to be found.

Did a quick shop through Coles using gloves and alcohol wipes and as we took our trolley of groceries up the escalator, we received a text from the groomer to say Colli was ready.

Drive through coffee was our final stop in The Bay before driving home. We dropped Colli home and then went to pick up our meat order from the butcher and came home for lunch.

I actually felt a little stressed and was very relieved to get home and shut the world out.

Nite all.
