Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Where is the Love?

Another quiet day in the shop and I’m wondering where all the love has gone?

No visitors in town and the locals must be rugged up inside avoiding the cool weather.

The Motivator was practicing her kinergetics for a couple of hours in the treatment room.

Despite the lack of customers, the day still passed very quickly and Adoring Husband arrived to help me close the shop right on time.

We spent the afternoon bathing dogs and I put a ban on TV viewing for the remainder of the day. Unfortunately I was only able to enforce the ban until I left the lounge room to cook dinner at 5.30pm - AH took that opportunity to switch on the idiot box (as my mother used to refer to it).

We enjoyed duck and vegetables for dinner, caught up on our recordings of The Voice and were in bed by 9.30pm.

I’m wearing my new pyjamas tonight šŸ˜

AH and I have a big day planned in The Bay tomorrow so I should probably get some sleep befor it turns 1am again!

Nite all.
